For everyone seeing Goblet of Fire this weekend (or HPaTGoF *snerk*)
I'm not planning on seeing it this weekend. Please help me out with some cuts and spoiler warnings, if that's OK.
I DO want to see it, pretty badly (especially the first trial. I'm DYING to see how that's handled) but I can't bear crowds this weekend. Especially full of kids.
Let me give you an example - I went to a local Papa Gino's to satisfy a pizza craving. It starts filling up as I'm waiting for my 3 minute meal (which took ten, whatever. I never believe them anyway) with parents and multiple children, who are letting them tear around and start screaming. I'm the first person to say "kids are kids, they make noise, they make a mess. Deal with it." but today I realized I had NOTHING left and one of these kiddos was going to get a smacking if they ran into me. I beat feet out of there rather than risk it.
I can't bear a movie full of yelling kids and overbearing parents (did I tell you the story of herding my nephew early, and getting the perfect seat with my nephew for Revenge of the Sith just to have some asshat pretty much DEMAND I move so he could sit with his spawn? I had to sit behind the big headed guy you avoid. And the asshat wasn't even NICE about it. He assumed I'd move for him, and I didn't so he made a big ass show. Of course, I instructed my nephew to "watch carefully, this is the kind of man I DO NOT want you to become. His kids didn't hear me but HE did and my nephew did, who, sat calmly and quietly though the whole thing, to say to the guy "That was pretty rude, you know." heh. but seriously, you can see why, right?)
I'm thinking MAYBE the late late show on Sunday, or even Monday after work. We shall see. I'm just looking to stay out of jail this weekend. *grins*
