I'm never going to get fired from BaOPF client!

I like being busy. What I don't like is this feeling of "must have *THIS* done *NOW*!" and there's where my problem lies. It's only accounting, not brain surgery. For the most part, things can wait. In BaOPF client, they have a closing process that must be done in a certain timely fashion. However, MY work not getting done because the BOSS isn't available to answer the questions, isn't MY problem (except that I eventually have to do it.) I won't let him rush me if HE needs to do something that I've been waiting on feedback on for two weeks.

So there.

Anyway, I went in today, hoping to be fired. He makes no mention of my paycheck, which he SAYS he wanted to do every two weeks. I'm now two weeks behind that schedule. It's not like I need it or anything, now is it? He leaves early. I'm finding NOTHING he says is anywhere close to what he does. At 10Am he was "leaving in 45 minutes." he left at 1:30. Stuff had to be done and it was good it got done.

I was chatting with the one guy who is nice and knows what he's doing. This is AFTER I get reamed by a collector, about how my series of predecessors had given her the run around and blah blah. Bitch wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise, bitched at me about stuff not my fault, and pissed me and the boss off enough that she's getting her crap back. WHEN we feel like it. Anyway, the whole conversation of "rapid turnover: had me talking to the other guy. Seems he's been open about a year and a half, and has had 100% employee turnover. In my position was one woman who came from his old company, who up and quit one day. The other woman was the "temp" I'd seen on my interview, who was supposed to be a "controller" type. Apparently she couldn't type, let alone handle financial stuff. I've been there 3 weeks, and finished the banks recs, which SHE couldn't even touch. The salesmen and stock people also had various problems.

The whole point is, I asked about his attitude. It IS an issue, it's NOT ME. Everyone has felt it, even the nice guy. I think he's really concerned about his company, but I can't be talked to that way. Even at my worst I show him more respect than my predecessor. And, it appears that I've now gotten WAY more work done than my predecessor. Which means I'd have to steal him blind to get fired. He's probably going to "put up" with me. I'm just that damn good.

Dammit.

I dunno, this is a good job, IF he lets me do my work, AND have a work and home life OUTSIDE his office. If he wants me to make him more of a priority, he needs to pay me more. I'm giving him all the hours I can. I've set up a spreadsheet at work outlining days and hours. Now I need to do a more complex version at home, to keep my schedule. I should drag out my palm pilot and use it, but honestly, it's easier with paper. I don't have meetings, and it's much easier for my style to write things down on paper as I go along. The Palm is annoying. That way, I can pull it up on my computer, and see what I'm doing and when, and book my life into it too.

Bleh. Anyway I'm thirsty, and need to get changed for the show. I also have some (surprise!) work to do before I go out. Probably more later. I REALLY want a soda, but I don't want to pay for it at the stadium. I think what I'm going to do is see if El will buy me one, the same way I think I'm going to see if KA will buy me a soda on Saturday. I WON'T ask for someone to pay my way in, but if I'm driving (or in the case of the show tonight, got the tickets!) I don't mind getting a soda or beer on them. And I REALLY want a soda. I might go next door and get one, they have HUGE sodas for a dollar.

Hee hee

Please see here

This is for those unfamiliar with the Cruxshadows body of work (Hee hee, and not just Rogue's body! *giggles madly*) I've made available, as MP3, the songs you should expect to hear on Saturday at Slimelight. I've also included the German version of the song "Deception." because, well, it's cute. *grins* Let me know if there's anything wrong with the songs. And, they're not in order that you;ll hear them in concert.

The thing I ask - if you LIKE what you hear, and you like the show, spare the cash to buy one of the cds from the band. The cd I recommend if you like this set is Ethernaut. You will also like Wishfire. The older stuff is just that - older, and Rogue's style has changed, along with whomever he's collaborating with. I adore the older stuff, but I hear from people who don't like things from Telemetry, simply because it is more raw and less electric (although STILL very electric, he's using more sounds from the keyboards these days.)

And do try and tell Rogue if you like anything. He's very reachable. And just a darling. And DON'T pick on his hair, I'll be very cross! *grins*

Be sure to tell me what you think of the show. I've been in love with this band since I first saw the Telemetry lineup in a tiny bar in Providence.

I'm SO jealous! Dammit!
