because really, where else does one go for assistance.
For reasons that will be clear soon, I am in the market for a Portable Media Player.
I was considering a portable DVD player, but after due consideration of costs, it appears that a portable MEDIA player will be better.
I will be using it to watch video. I have an Ipod I'm totally happy with, but I'm not simply upgrading to a Video Ipod because I want more screen.
Go. Search. Find. I'm looking for harddrive size, realiability, and video screen width. I've found one with a Quite Respectable 7" screen (which is the same size as the portable DVD player I was looking at) but I want to Make Sure.
I come to you because I think I know what I want, but I'm having a hard time finding a decent deal, at a site I know I can trust. This is my *Insert Holiday here* present to me, and I think I'm worth the money *evil grin* I can do the research on this, but I won't have any free time to do so between now and Sunday, so I was hoping to place an order by EOB today for delivery next week.
I will say this one is the frontrunner, and has everything I want.

Sorry about the shitty link. I just have never heard of this website before. Came from Froogle.

In a PS - work is teh Ubersuck, although i did get a nice Phat cash bonus, and I'm going to be even busier than I figured in the next few months. Complete with client trip the week before Vegas. Nice. *sighs*
ETA - I've snuck in to do a bit of searching. Am now considering other options (that are NOT $400+) one of the front runners is a PSP, so I can just save what I want onto the stick and go from there.
So - LJ Land - if you wanted to make Dr Who portable, and watch it whereever, and DON'T have a laptop to do so, what do you do?
(I do have a laptop, it's older and doesn't have a DVD drive, AND it's too large. I'm looking for something 'round the size of an Ipod, but with a viewing screen larger than an Ipod.)
thanks!

Also, it's a M$oft product. While I still use a PC and Windoze, I'm reluctant to use anything else they have. I'd rather upgrade to the Video Ipod.
And you'll have to work harder than that. *snerk*

Date: 2006-12-21 11:34 pm (UTC)Besides, we have plenty of gay porn from your old computer. Like MORE than enough.
I'm releaning towards a Video Ipod, or a PSP. The price tags are staggering. I'm going from a $130 portable dvd player, to a $400 item, just so I can not purchase freakin' Doctor Who (*ahem* or anything else for that matter *whistles innocently*) I might pop out to Best Buy and take a lookie look at the items, see how small the screen actually is.

At least I got the furries off there.

Date: 2006-12-21 11:46 pm (UTC)We were watching one of the Horrible Crow ouvre last night and decided that Edward Furlong was both sufficiently masculine and feminine to be found fuckable by both of us. So yeah, thanks for the porn!
(seriously, I formatted the hard drive, all your inclinations are safe, until the next time we have margaritas)
They do have those screens - to purchase a Video Ipod AND a screen - I might as well go straight to the $400 Media Player.
I'm allowing myself a nice present, but if I splurge it could cost me Germany in May. And I can't have that. And I want a new laptop soon as well. Feh. Poop.
You know what I need? A sugar Daddy. *grins*
