Ah, dear LiveJournal
Never leave me again!
Today has been slow and delicious, I napped for a while on my more favored of my couches (the green one for anyone keeping track, there's just something napable about it!) after bringing my car for a LONG overdue oil change and repair of a slow tire leak that became fast over the past few days. The only problem is that I'm watching Kate and Leopold, which is OK (shaddup!) but not the Makeover tips that involve leggings. They're not even NICE leggings, the whole new trend for leggings that end at your calves is Teh Uber Suck. I stil have a few pairs, for those days I may want to go riding or whatever, but the idea that one is supposed to have SUIT LEGGINGS is so bad 80's that my mind can't even parse it. Let's go ahead and start with "The Claw" hairdos again, shall we? *vomits*
Anyway, no leggings for me. Thanks.

kanine and solemnpyre for/with poetman's upcoming birthday. At the Melting Pot which should be interesting at least. Last year we did hibatchi style dinner, which I thought was awesome!
I'm sure I have some other stuff to do, but I successfully got up at 8AM today, I'm aiming for the same tomorrow and I'll see what happens then.
I also need to make a phone call about an anniversary I didn't get a chance to mail, but I haven't forgotten. Maybe I'll FINALLY get that headset and Skype to make some calls!
Off to get the car, back later.

I felt like a Roman emperor afterwords, I wanted to rape the kitchenstaff (but no purging, yeck!) No, I really wanted to jump one of my employees, but that's another story for another day.

it was interesting, but left me feeling I should have eaten beforehand, as the tidbit selection took ages to cook, and with four of us, was an issue getting pot space. Also, was the determination of the birthday boy to have things his way - yes was great, and also his choice, but there were things on the menu I'd have liked to have tried, and they were vetoed.
Plus, cost, OMFG! not somewhere I'll be going to often! Although R and I are thinking of a dessert visit after Xmas!
