I think it worked.

- I moved all program files off the D: drive, with a File Mover program I purchased from the IntorWeeb. Best $15 I think I've spent this year
- ran Migrate Easy
- had a bit of a panic when desktop refuses to just "boot"
- opened computer, was attacked by dust bunnies/techs.
- played with jumpers and cables, played simon with them
- desktop BOOTS

I'm running some stuff that used to make the C: drive choke. We're not having any problems (let's start with how Itunes insists on using the C: drive to store playlists, I haven't been able to update my ipod thanks to space issues. Just finished updating without a problem.)

The final issue is I started running Defrag. The D: drive is now listed first.

Wow. I think I fixed it. Anyone have an easy way for me to verify this - how do I tell AFTER booting which drive is das Boot? I've googled for it, and will continue to do so. But I'm not coming up with anything right now.

W0rd. Now to make a call and see if I can make it so M isn't on this anymore!
