I had to jump through wait on hold hoops, that also involved me coming home and taking an extra long lunch to unpack the item and set it up.
Just to get, once I got tech support, and tell them what I tried over the weekend, that yes it does need to come back.
Bonus points - since it's not a brand they're authorized to service, it needs to go back to Sony for repair, and since that will take at least 2 to 3 weeks, and doesn't guarantee I'll get it back, I'm getting a full refund including shipping. The label arrives in my my email, it should be there when I get back.
*sighs*
So now I don't know what to do. Frankly, I'm taking this as a sign that I need to save up for one.
I will contact the clients whom I use the laptop on, and propose alternatives (which will have me working at home or the office for the most part) until I get one. Honestly, I need the money to pay some bills, and maybe should be looking at Best Buy or Circuit City for an open box special that I can get repaired here if there's a problem.
Anyway, have some emails to write, and then I have to get back to work. Don't want to go, am quite crankypants today. Impending PMS, apologies for the TMI, but it's obvious.
