tiamatladyI've been most productive today
- Started by getting coffee and got to the office prior to my 10AM call. Also managed to make the computer geek's life more difficult by showing up at ALL and wanting to use my computer, which is the closest to the borken router he was working on. He was supposed to be DONE before 10, not getting started AT 10. Fuck him.
- phone call was LATE as the CPA we were calling never got the call put through it just went right to VM. Once the client sent him an email, he called me and I got my info.
- I also settled some stuff for another client, AND called two more to make sure they didn't need me (they didn't. One of them said "Excellent job Tia, take the rest of the day off." *makes a face*) I then got the fuck out. About noon thirty.
- Went food shopping. I spent MORE than I expected, but I should have expected that. At least ice cream wasn't on my list (mostly because I have two pints already in the freezer)
- I've been Ms Cookin'pants today. I've made a lasagna, filled the crock pot with what will become Chicken with veggies and dumplings (once I get milk for the dumpling mix) and a pan of brownies to go with the cookies I made last week. I also have leftover sauce for pasta, which is in the closet, more seltzer for most of the week, and more yogurt. With judicious additions I expect to get through til WELL after my next paycheck with what's in the fridge and freezer.
- I have also cleaned the bathroom completely (including the toilet which I do NOT understand how it gets so icky with one girly here!) and straightened up the kitchen although I haven't given it a complete going over. That's going to wait until the furniture is out of there. I also need to run a load in the dishwasher, but I'm waiting to clean out the brownie and lasagna pans so I can pop them in too.
it doesn't exactly seem like a lot, but for a typical workday for me this is a lot. I needed today badly and I have to make SURE I budget myself another one in March. I can't go balls out without a day to just settle back and get my OWN shit done. *shrugs* I don't know when.
I know I have an all day marathon of Project Runway and Law and Order to choose from, should I be in the mood, and I now have all night to settle down with my laptop and try and get some work done. Tomorrow is going to be a doozy, workwise, and I don't want to be working when I get home.
