tiamatladySomething is up with my computer. Depending on what programs I load, it just refuses to load anymore until after a reboot. I KNOW this is a space on C: Issue. Please let it hold on until I can mirror the drive, or get a new 'puter.
Tonight I had a date with me, and it was good. I have to say, a Friday Night date at Ikea is a SPLENDID idea! I've never seen the place so quiet. I got sweet parking, and didn't really have any people problems that go along with too many asshats. Don't get me wrong there were a few, but I was pretty much able to leisurely stroll around the showroom and look at things.
And I finally got my meatballs. YUM! Did I say YUM? I also met the most plesant four year old ever. She quite politely said "Excuse me? Could you hand me a juice please? Thank you very much." She asked me my name and said "I'm very pleased to meet you." I'm SHOCKED. Her mom apologized for her bothering me and I told her it was a pleasure to meet such a nice polite little girl. I wish my nephew would remember his manners more. He's friendly, but not without prompting is he polite.
So the lack of people meant I could manover the lines and sit near a window and look out at the landscaping and eat. I SO understand the lingonberry sauce! It was good and exactly what I needed since I was a bit hungry.
I'm disappointed with the bathroom selection at Ikea though, I didn't really find exactly what I wanted. I did buy the new plastic soap dispenser, it came with boxes and a soap dish. the dispensor has the look I was looking for so I'm OK with it. I got some cutting boards, a cookie sheet, some little things. I wasn't seeing anything else I could use at the moment.
I decided I wanted a lasgana pan so I headed to BB&B. Got the classic pyrex wear, a pretty good deal and a soap pump dispenser for the kitchen. I'm so sad with the gadgets but I like buying in bulk and this is the best way. I was going to get some bath stuff but again I'm disappointed. I think some of them were just overpriced. I'm going to try La Targay on the way to work, as I return the wrong sized sheets. I'm hoping to finally find what I want there, but *shrugs*
Finally, I decided I wanted to make a lasagna so I stopped at the store. I got what I needed and then some, and a tube of cookiedough. Have cookie sheet, have cookies! So, after running my new stuff through a dishwasher cycle, I managed to do EVERYTHING I wanted to cookwise. The lasgana came out pretty well, but I used No Cook noodles and where they didn't get covered in sauce they're crunchy. THEN I made cookies and DAMN if these aren't the best damn cookies! The new sheet doesn't let them burn. YAY! I'm going to go package them up in bags to take with me tomorrow.
I didn't get any cleaning done tonight but that's OK. I should be able to on Sunday some.
I feel SO much better after just being alone and doing as I please for an hour or two. I'm off to bed soon, as I want to get up at a reasonable hour to get down to the Cape. I have a lot to do tomorrow and a lot of driving and I need to beat the snow (SNOW SNOW SNOW *stomp stomp stomp*)
I know I'm a poop socially. This all has a purpose and I'll come out of it soon enough. I need to find the work/play equalibrium and I will.
