tiamatladyIn honor of feeling like the noose is no longer hanging around my neck (moved to just above my head) I've decided to apply some of the spare mental energy to (dum DE dum DUM!) formalizing and solidifying my travel plans!
I will state, for the record, that there are certain debts that WILL be handled before ANY travel purchase is made. Period. If it's not handled I can't go. It is on schedule to be, soon.
Proposed dates: May 30 through June 12.
Tuesday, May 30 – work. Take latest flight out of Logan for Heathrow.
Wednesday May 31 – Make way From Heathrow, via the Tube and train to Cambridge, UK, where![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
emarkienna has graciously offered to house me for most of the UK duration. I'm aware of what HE’S getting out of this, but let's not go there; this is an unlocked entry *evil grin*
Make M go to work, I sleep. Maybe round up the Cantabridgians for dinner, and drinkies. M & I pull an all nighter. *ahem* And we stay up too.
Thursday June 1 – take INSANELY early bus and flight to Leipzig Germany. Check into Leipzig hotel, SLEEP, attend Americans in Leipzig dinner.
Friday June 2 – Monday June 5 – Wave Gotik Treffen Musicfest. Can I get a *Squeeee!* from the peanut gallery? I don’t think I have the clothes for this, to be blunt.
Tuesday June 6 – return to Cambridge UK. Whatever night is it, head out to it. Rest.
Wednesday June 7/Thursday June 8/Friday June 9 day - maybe do some of the touristy stuff I’d missed. Basically relax some. I’d LOVE to go back to Hampton Court, and I didn’t make it to the British Museum except the once, and I never made it into the Gallery AT ALL. Plus maybe back to the V&A. hehe.
Friday June 9 – pending checking on dates I’m HOPING this is BMovie night. M and I MIGHT stay in London for the weekend.
Saturday June 10 – Camden. Dammit, MOMMY WANTS NEW ROCKS! And I’ve just seen a new metal platform heel style TO DIE FOR! I’m also thinking about Slimes, but that will depend on the whos and the whats.
Sunday June 11 – Fall on my face resting. I’m certain.
Monday June 12 – fly home, somewhere in the afternoon.
I'm certain there's some flexability in here. There’s also the possibility I might go STRAIGHT to Germany and have M meet me at the hotel. I need to see how THAT might work flights wise. I just think it’s a better idea to have ONE round trip ticket Boston/London, and ONE roundtrip ticket London area/Leipzig area.
I'm STUPID excited about the Festival. I MISS being able to go out, and between not having anywhere TO go and my schedule I need this, badly.
If you've gotten this far and have ANY tips, suggestions, etc, for me, I’m happy to listen. This is TENTATIVE and subject to change.
I'm also planning on attending the FABULOUS Black Sun Festival, later in the summer. You should ALL plan on doing so as well!

I don't think it's possible to have enough clothes for this trip. I am trying to figure out how I am going to pack it all.
keep me posted on flights and all that. I think I may go talk to a travel agant for kicks...

Date: 2006-01-24 02:56 am (UTC)I'm going to be setting up some emails from various sites regarding airfare, and once they hit a price I haven't decided on just yet, I'll buy. I'm thinking anything that will land me under $400 with all fees round from London works for me.
I'll have to ask about flights, but M and I have been looking at Ryanair and Easyjet. The round from his local airport to Leipzig is about 49 pounds BUT they have luggage charges and J was etlling me how there are TWO airports marked Leipzig. The good thing about our choice is that most of the other Londoners going to Leipzig take this flight we were looking at. So we follow the sea of black.
Have a look at Easyjet, see what else flys out of Paris. I'd suggest you look at Ryanair for going back - maybe we can gang travel back to London together.
You and J should come over some night. We'll have dinner and touch base. Or I can come there. I'll have to keep you posted re: my schedule. I made the call but I was working through the whole thing (SOMEONE is a slave driver *giggle*)
I'll definately email you any deals. I haven't seen any yet.

PS I'm online ATM if you're about.
This schedule is pending, it depends on what I decide to do during the last few days. In interests of money I might take one more day off. But I'm thinking I will anyway and use it at home, to meet my client, get some personal work and laundry done. We'll see what the prices say.

Date: 2006-01-24 03:00 am (UTC)If you do a search on new rock malicia with metal heels you'll find them. I'll try and find a piccie. OH - they're on the Bootstore community - someone is selling a pair but they're too big I think. I'd RATHER try them on first. It's an expensive mistake to make.
