Asshat of the Day awards.

Today's Asshat of the Day is a whole company - UPS.

I had a feeling the minion I spoke to on the phone last night was on crack. But he was nice and did what I wanted him too. My delivery was redirected to be held at the delivery center. I left at 10:30 to go get it. And hit a LOT of traffic - construction. I am ALMOST at the exit, having maneuvered and cut people off when my phone rings.

Yeah, we sent the package out on the truck and JUST NOW noticed your change order. You DID call awfully late last night.

*Growls*

Of course, HAD the driver left the notice he was SUPPOSED to, I would have done the change order ONLINE around SIX PM. Knowing that when I got home from work would be too late. But since he didn't, but logged it into the system, I couldn't make the change from my original order number.

So NOW I wait for the service rep to page the driver to tell him to bring the package NOW.
*postus interruptus*

So, NOW the driver says he MIGHT be willing to MEET me, SOMEWHERE (an address I have no idea where) and he'll be NICE enough to go through his truck and MAYBE get my package. IF I drive out to meet him AFTER he finishes what he's doing. OR I can reschedule for a WORK address on MONDAY. They don't work on weekends.

You know, I'm trying to be reasonable. It's a toy after all.

BUT DAMN!
