I have a very familiar rash all over my face, neck, and down one arm.
The GOOD news is I'm certain of the trigger - baby wipe.
Our water was out from Tuesday night through midday Wednesday. Due to SERIOUS lack of water, I needed to do SOMETHING, as I commented in my last entry. So I did. I had done so Tuesday night too, mostly on my arms. I woke up to the patterns on my arm. All day yesterday I started getting itchier and itchier. After I showered last night (*AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH*) saw the telltale red starting to develop. This morning, yep. My eyes are starting to swell, and I'm a mottled red shade.
The GOOD news is this is as bad as it will get. I won't be sore and icky. I'm already starting with the treatment, although I do need another tube later on today. I went several months without even ONE breakout, so this is trigger-reaction. If I didn't use the baby wipes for other things, I'd toss them RIGHT NOW (occasionally, when working with beads or stuff, my hands get all icky, and it's more of a "Hey, lets wipe off NOW so we don't get the bathroom all nasty. They work fine on my hands. I just have to keep them away from my face and eyes.) They may go into the car for dirt related emergencies.
But right now I ITCH like a BITCH. So to speak.
I also overslept. My standard waking time is 10:30, which is disgusting. Considering I again got stuck at work last night and again couldn't go out. Everyone at work makes fun of me, but I feel that I TRULY only work and do nothing else. I don't get to see anyone, I barely eat, and when I do it's crap. I look forward to the day that INSTEAD of having to grab a burger on the way home, I can come home to my EMPTY apartment, make dinner on my grill, and steam some veggies, and LEAVE everything in the sink until I'm ready to clean up. And eat. And have MY food in the CLEAN fridge. I'd much rather have chicken and veggies than a burger and fries. Who KNEW I'd ever say that. SO buying an elliptical machine too (at some point.)
I hate this rash. At least I know what it is and how to fix it. You can bet after the Season I'll be seeing a doctor to see if there's something that will make it go away permanently. Antibiotics or something. (not that I'm not convinced it WASN'T an overdose of antibiotics that didn't cause it in the first place, but *shrugs*)
It doesn't bother me - I'm only working. Red and blotchy, but only seeing the bosses. *shrugs again*
