I went to my client, and the whole place was dark, and locked tight.
DARN! I had to come home!
*squeeeee* Day off!
And I have lots of stuff I'd like to do, but I've been shopping on Amazon to finally spend a gift certificate. Actually, two, since my Free Ipod promotion gave me another free $10, just for signing up. No I don't have a FreePod, but I got a free book.So I'm OK for now for that.
I've gotten back into the Anita Blake books, and it's been so long I'm three behind, -plus the Fairy books she wrote and I need to find the other books I know I have around here. I'm pretty sure I packed a few too many of the books I wanted. My bookshelves are a wee bit cluttered, despite my cleaning. I think I might have to get a storage box, and pack the knick knacks til teh Unit moves out. Except Anubis - I wubble him too much. Anyway I want to read more, and have two Anita books coming, a third that's more cost effective to pick up at Target, and another book I wanted on my last England trip, The Queen's Fool, by the author of the Other Boleyn Girl. THIS one looks better, although I believe the author can't help savaging history. *sighs* I also want the newest one, but it's not out yet, and I dread what the author will do to my Beloved Elizabeth. I can't get enough of her - there's a huge biography I saw at the bookstore once that I DROOL on, but it's out of my price range right now.
Anyway, I've been reading, and trying to find the time to. I just don't know about spending money on books when some nights I couldn't afford food. I needed to spend the certs tho. I have books up my ass, some I haven't read. I really need to make an effort to list and sell some of them, but I need a schedule to do so. It's not like I'm very good at mailing stuff anyway!
OK - speaking of that - I should get to the Post Office with stuff.
I need to make a list to make the stew I found on the site, and a couple of snack items. Maybe I can shop all at once at Shaw's. Hrms. YAY for illicit days off.
