Bad Influence

I hereby decalre Building 19, and 3/4, as my arch nemsisesisese - whatever.
It's bad.
I'm bad.
*sighs*
Edit - for the out of towners or the Brits, Building 19 is a kind of thirdhand style place, a large lot volume discount store. They tend to buy seconds or remainders from big stores. I've gotten some nice stuff DAMN cheap there. I go to these stores - Building 19, Ocean State JOb Lot, Christmas Tree Shops, Wholesale Warehouse. Stuff like that.
I was early for my second client, and decided to poke my head in, seeif they had a veggie steamer. they didn't. However, I got:
- sleeveless blue dress/pants. I'm eyeing the top as a Club thing. I'm eyeing the pants as scrap. Brilliant blue. Not any kind of "nice" fabric, blue top has gauzy flow to it. Cost = $14. Edit - has spaghetti straps, and pants. HATE the pants, "dress" is a bit tight and needs a skirt or some thing under it. I LOVE the top's style. DId I mention i Hate the pants?
- Purple suit. Fabric questionable, NOT wool (obviously, I actually prefer polys in suits.) it's the deep berry purple that looks REALLY good on me. In my current size. Buttonless, mandarin style coat, matching shell top and matching skirt. Was supposed to, according to the tag and some of the other suits, have matching pants as well. Due to missing pants cost = $10. Edit - note to self - find this "iron" CB speaks of and apply liberally to suit.
- One plain black mostly cotton top. Deep V neck, perfect for sleeping in, round the house lounging. cost = $8
- one green to almost black "shawl" that is my new winter scarf. is that faux soft material, not something
feline could knit Cost = $8. Edit - Nope It's black in my bedroom light. I'm VERY tempted to run back and get a couple more for ebay sale at $10. I know, I'm evil......
- Three note pads for my bigger client folder cost = $1
EDIT - AND I forgot, since my client ran in as I was writing this - a 3D box framed version of Van Gogh's Starry Night. It;s YUMMY, and it will ofset my picture frame, unless I find another one. They had others in a 3D vein, just not something that would match the room. And this does.
*sighs* AND = I saw a comforter I like to the point of going to another Building 19 to get it later.
someone smack me. more later

Date: 2004-11-09 12:01 pm (UTC)but seriously, they didn't have my size - queen - they had a full, but if I'm going to sacrifice my tasty $300 set I want EXACTLY the one in JUST the right size.
These are actually on sale this week - so there's a chance thay the new 19 and 0/0 that I'll be going to might have the exact same one. it's a simple Black/grey reverseable. (And, it's $20. Can't really beat it, plus the cost of the wash with softner it's going to get - they were very "new" feeling.)
I know the Cardinal Rule - if you see it, buy it, since you won't see it again!
