Let's see

I have a lot to write about, I think, but some, due to work related foo, has to go into a filtered entry.

I suppose the public part of this entry is as follows:

- beginning a different way of eating. I can TOTALLY SEE teh Unit being an issue here. It took me til 11 to get everything in from the car (which includes quite a bit of seltzer, which I couldn't carry in all at once anyway. I brought pieces in, put them away, cooked, and then got everything else in.) BIG thanks go to [livejournal.com profile] xanyboi[livejournal.com profile] dionysia for the clue up on the tuna patties at Trader Joe's. I also bought the Salmon ones, which I had for dinner and they are FABOO. I cooked them a hair too long, but I'll learn. I also found a great dressing with one net carb called Goddess dressing. It tastes like a thicker modified Greek style. One serving (one carb) puts a tablespoon on EACH of the patties I cooked, and it was PERFECT. I'm hoping chilling with make it even better. I have to pick up a few more things, I only have broccoli, and that will get very tired very quick, and I need shampoo. I'm hoping I'm DONE shopping for two weeks. With exception of some fresh items and some cold cuts. OK that might get expensive, I'm going to get a couple of pounds, and come cheese. And I'll need fresh salad next week. I spend about $120 mostly on meats for the grill, and if over two weeks, that works out to FAR less than the $15 I was spending a day on crap food.

If you'd like, you can add [livejournal.com profile] hmmm_donuts to your friend's list. That's my food journal. I'm not really sure I want commentary, and I'm locking all posts at least as friend's only. But if you add me I'll be sure to add you back. Might keep me honest if I have an audience.

- I had a work epiphany. I think I need more structure, although I LOVE having time to myself, I need something a bit more structured, close to full time. Not exactly. If I can find a place that I can work about 35 hours, I can keep the clients I want to, until they fade out. I have a plan, which is NOT something I had before, or rather my plan wasn't working quite right.

- That said, I'm hoping to take the CPA exam again within a year. Depends on what happens over the Season. While I wanted to take Grad courses first, I think this isn't quite the way I should go. I'm not getting paid, or getting jobs that are what I'm worth.

- things are - status quo - on the boytoy front. It's more MY head I need to keep control of.

Yeah anyway, I have a locked post to write.

Today isn't fired, but it's certainly being written up.

I think the tuna patties were [livejournal.com profile] dionysia's idea. I personally have never been a fan of any of Trader Joe's pre-prepared foods.

good luck on the diet!

if it's "Green Goddess" dressing, traditionally it has avocado, olive oil, and lots of green herbs (and sometimes watercress). a few restaurants I worked at made variants of this dressing.

here's a link (http://www.epicurious.com/cooking/how_to/food_dictionary/entry?id=2823) to its history.

and apparently I mistyped. traditionally, the dressing does not have avocado, but every version I've seen personally uses it.

the "traditional version" consists of mayonnaise, tarragon vinegar, anchovies, parsley, chives, tarragon, scallions and garlic.
