- I wrote a HUGE rant, but calmed down. In Short, my car got towed by the useless tow company for being parked illegally, which it was. I had come into the house, figuring Teh Unit would be home any second, and remembered later that today is a holiday and she wouldn't be coming home. I go out to put my car in the space and find it gone. $110 later, "mandated" by the state (*hand* whatever) So now Money is right back up there on the list of the Uber Suck. However, I'm going to start billing my major client every payroll. That way I don't run til the end of the month before I have money and I can start paying some bills on time. Given this schedule, I will get a check next Monday. I will be bouncing this off them on Thursday.
- Also something that needs to happen - I need to call the management company, and thank them for finally enforcing their policies. AND that I want them enforced UNIVERSALLY. Every time I see someone illegally parked I WANT THEM TOWED. No Exceptions. AND I don't want them to come running out to "save" their car. The only reason I got towed was because the company was slow - the lot was empty.
- I really don't want to go to the office today. I have things to do here. I never got to ANYTHING yesterday, and I'm motivated today. Figures. But I was so amped last night I couldn't sleep til late. I woke up before my alarm, but I should take a shower. I dyed my hair last night and everything has a blue/black tinge to it. My scalp included. it's So Deliciously dark. I emailed one of my clients to see who is in the office. If NOONE is in the office, I might play hookey for a while. Get some things done.
- Feeling pulled in a bunch of directions today.
- CB has not answered my last email. It was rather involved, due to a question he asked, and I answered at length. Either he doesn't have the time to address it, or he's mulling over how to tell me I'm nuts *grins* I'm unconcerned by the silence, this time, since I know he's concerned about his test, and I'd rather he maintain radio silence, do his work, and come out on Wednesday, where I can poke him. *grins*
I need to get moving, I'm going to have my coffee and cereal, which I can NOW have thanks to running the dishwasher. I had previously not had any bowls. Then hop in the shower. My nails need scrubbing after the dye last night, the shower is the only thing that does a good job. I hate to wash my hair so soon, but it's too dark for the office. I wish I'd dyed it Saturday. *shrugs*

Date: 2004-10-11 12:01 pm (UTC)$110 for towing charges is outrageous. Some tow-truck driver is probably out there buying a months' supply of coke now :(

Date: 2004-10-11 12:16 pm (UTC)- this is private property
- the illegal zones are clearly marked
- there are MULTIPLE postings, all with cause and effect
- they broke into my car to remove the brake. Yeah - apparantly they can do that too. Fortunately for them, they didn't break anything, or I'd sue them.
- The company is actually legit, with a large yard, and they MUST report this to my management company, since I believe they get a cut of it. This would be the same management company who
- refuses to address security issues
- refuses to address the laundry room issue, and the HOT SPOTS on our floor from the improperly vented dryers, right under our feet.
- refuses to explain WHY we need a huge assessment, that is sudden, immediate and non negotiable when we had a $300,000 surplus
AND - my personal favorite
- refuses to explain where that money went. I've seen the bank accounts EXCEPT the operating, which is strangely missing except for a "brief" mention in the report, and IT has NOTHING IN IT. They report "Gain on Fire" after we had a fire in the other building, but there is no detail. My personal belief is that they paid ALL the expenses out of OUR pockets, for someone else's mistake, and they claimed what little we got from our crappy insurance as "income." Believe me, the potential CPA in me is FURIOUS.
Teh Unit's suggestion, and it's a good one, is that my car/our family is being targeted by *insert board member's name or management company's name* for her part in trying to get an answer on the above, and that I might just have to consult a lawyer. Considiering OTHER people do as they please with no results.
I think what _I_ want is to force all the owners to park in their spots. I'll happily get some parking tickets on the street if I can get owners and board directors towed because they leave their assigned space open so they can park in visitor parking. AND make the comapny come out, both management and tow, for EVERY LITTLE THING. I might start calling them every time the laundry room is going at 5 past 11, and make the asshole who serves our building come out and lock it.
if they're going to do their job, they're going to DO IT.
The driver was very nice - he's just doing his job. I blame MY management company, the person I think called (and I'm pretty sure I know who it was) and the management at the tow company. They only do their job when they feel like it. That's going to STOP.

It certainly does sound as if you're being targeted. Definitely something to look into further. Treatment should be fair and all-across-the-board.

There's fraud going on here - I'm thinking our two little buildings could be self managed better. I'm even willing to do the books - and I charge a LOT *grins*
But I don't own I just live here - I'm persona non grata. *grumbles*
