About stuff
Sep. 28th, 2004 03:08 pmWent out last night, to see Voltaire
There's more on that to come later, it's funny.
But in the meantime, I bought the new, yet to be released album Then and Again.
But I CERTAINLY wouldn't make it available to others
and it's CERTAINLY NOT available here.
No no.
There are pictures, and a story, and V was great as always. I should make a point of getting to know him, at least so that he doesn't need to be reminded who I am. I'm close enough to NYC. Well maybe, I love my friends in just the quotient they are now.

Date: 2004-09-28 02:33 pm (UTC)But it has two songs from the EP you guys brought me from DCon.
And I didn't like those.
You're right - too serious.
But he gets serious on occasion.
THEN - last night he did a song he "just made up a couple of days ago" called "The Mos Eisley Cantina Buggery Blues" which involves a nice country boy, going to the city, and being made a "man" in the Cantina. Any song that involves the phrase "covered in Wookie ka-ka" needs to be recorded. Trust me, I can't explain it, I choke on it, I'll have to find a tape of it or SOMETHING.

Date: 2004-09-28 03:42 pm (UTC)He says it's NOT like his other stuff - these are things he's done that AREN'T in the dark sarcasm vein.
The next album - Ookie Spookie - is in the works, and is what we'd expect. Yay, no more touchy feely Voltaire!
