Things I don't get
OK there's lots of things I don't get. I don't want to create DRA-MA, so I don't talk about it here. *grins*
This is what I don't get from last night:
I went out to New London to a DIVE to see Chris' band. I did not drive, and I've never been happier to leave early, or that D&N are early nighters. Managed to stay up to see InuYasha (which was REALLY good!) It had been cold all night, and it was comfortable in my room, so I left the fan off and the window shut.
At 5AM I woke up drenched in sweat. It was like an Oven in my room. I had to get up and open the window and turn the fan on. It took over an hour to go back to sleep.
At 5AM there isn't anyone doing laundry (I don't think, maybe they were) which is what might cause a heat rise like that. Now that I've moved the bed, I've noticed a lovely "hot spot" where the dryers are. There's another hot spot in teh Unit's room. The last time things were "repaired" last year they sealed off or improperly seals something, on the vents. We tink the dryers are venting INTO the building. Can we say FIRE?
I think Teh Unit (as the owner, I don't think they'll talk to me) needs to call and tell them about the hot spots on our floor and REMIND THEM AGAIN, about how, in the winter, the front windows fog up to the THIRD FLOOR with condensation from the dryers.
*sighs* This is why I go back and forth about staying here. The location and the familiarity are key, but the management company, and my neighbors just suck. I ALMOST want it to go up in flames, except for MY stuff of course *grins* so we can sue them. Teh Unit got a big envelope from the management company, I wonder what's in it.
Feh, I need to get moving. I'm going to call teh Unit and ask about the bathroom stuff. Then to WalMart to browse, then I need to load up stuff to take to the storage unit. It's the last day, I need to clean out her room and make sure her computer works.
Busy busy busy.

My friends called it a "biker bar."
Which was laughable, they witnessed an almost fight that involved an almost broken bottle and were bitching about "biker bars" all the way home. I was outside on their "outdoor smoking patio" or, the plastic lawn chairs on the dirt out back, at the time of the "fight."
The bouncer instructed us to drive safe and get naked when we got home. All four of us apparently. The beer was cheap, the mixed drinks were cheap, and the bartender was nice. The bathroom was relatively clean. And the sound system didn't suck. Those were the only good things. Well not the bouncer. He was creepy.
Mind you, these were goth bands, playing in a bar with four TVs, all showing sports, and Nascar stuff all around. *sighs*
It was OK, could have been much worse, like the time they played in Worcester in the pizza place and the 16 year olds started a brawl.

It isn't HALF as biker as Stash's Biker Cafe was, but there is a large biker population in SE CT so once Stash's closed they had to go somewhere.

Most of them were US. As in with us, or known by us.
there were like, two guys, who would have been trouble. One owas the bottle-er, and one was the bottle-ee. Over two decidedly skanky women.
Yeah, anyway, we got out alive, and not wanting to go back. *grins*
