You know what's worse than a wedding?

A family wedding. *shiver*
But, he's my favorite uncle, also the one closest to me in age. And his soon to be wife doesn't look evil. (Her BRIDESMAIDS do, but I digress.)
And I got talked into going out with Ruthie to see her fiancee's band(s) last night. NOT my kind of music at all. His band Article 5 was pretty good, his other band Thunderstud *snicker* was just ok. The band in between them *shudder* was not. I blocked out the name. I'm glad I went so she wouldn't be alone, but I was going to see Bill's brother's band, but they didn't play, too short notice. I did get to talk to him, and he knows EVERYONE, bad juju from the past. He's kinda cute, in a Metallica sort of way, but very taken. I got to see the whole groom's party, which was sad. I saw the best man, whom I'm going to TOWER over. Apparently he deserves it. *shrug* He didn't introduce himself, and didn't even talk to Ruthie, so I can see where that's going. One of the other groomsman, a bandmate, is this guy Joe I went to high school with. Really weird. Funny, I remember him thinner, with more hair, and less goofy *lol*
OH, I may be able to bring a guest or two after all (Daddy, warm up the camera)
*sigh* I have to go shower. I'd so rather stay here, play with Arcanum now that I actually CAN (thanks to the monitor). This is going to be one of those evil family weekends. See my family, extended family thanks to a mid life crisis by my grandfather and his marriage to a MUCH younger women, who is the sister of my mom's long time boyfriend (believe me the math on THIS is Calculus level. Don't try this at home) are a bunch of jackals, they pack together when attacked from outside, but if you're not IN the pack, you suck, and then, when bored, they turn on each other. I'm going with my friend Joanne, my oldest friend, since kindergarten, and we don't have much in common anymore (Her being a practicing Roman Catholic, and me, well, not. *grin*) but I've been looking forward to spending some time with her. We'll see if anything larger than casual friendship is possible. I'm fishing for a spot in HER bridal party, next year (not keeping my hopes up on that one tho. I'll be lucky to be invited)
I'd much rather stay here, work on the offers I've had lately *evil grin*, flirt with people online, work on my resume, work on the tax stuff I need to, got my first panicked call regarding "They said my tax return never got there!!!" (Hint, that's a common problem. If you haven't got a letter or a rebate, give the IRS a call, they may not have received your return. One of the banks in charge of the lockboxes in PA decided it was "OK" to destroy thousands of returns as opposed to filing them. *sigh*)
Okay okay, sheesh, if it wasn't Rob I'd stay RIGHT here. Off to shower, and finish packing.
