Paging My DJ Peeps

One of the things I've found is my vinyl collection
What's the best way to store records? I'm looking for something that will protect from being crushed, and is portable. Any suggestions on what and where to buy? Am I wrong in thinking there's a carrying case for such a thing? I'm probably getting rid of a lot of it, but i Have Duran Duran 12" singles that are SO STAYING. I also have a ton of 45"s I don't mind buying two different things, but at this point I Have no idea where to look.

Try and find old milk crates. Plastic ones you can buy from Staples or Bed Bath but if you can find the ones they actually use for milk, you will be better off. I have a wodden one I got years ago and it is perfect for all my vinal and my lazer disks.

I dunno about that.
I do have a milkcrate form somewhere, that I can try but if I have my way I won't have that many. I think I need something with a closed cover, my mother used to have one (I htink we tossed it since it was falling apart) like a carrying case of some kind. Something that can be stored on a shelf, and won't be full of empty space.

If there's empty space I'll fill it with crap *grins* Trying to avid that, but I'll keep it in mind if I find nothing else.
