I miss Tom

I'm starting my cleaning with putting away some CDs, and taking out a bunch more to rip.

On top of this pile - Fade.

This is when I started getting really into the club. Coming out all the time. Still with Kendall or Abby, and we had my/our tight group of friends (KA, Debb, Chrissy, Lisa, Theresa, and Chris and Nick, and for me Ashley) K had her own group so these people became mine. I had the BIGGEST crush on Tom, when he worked coatcheck. Some of the best times I had was down there with him, watching people come and go, keeping scary people from hassling him *grins* .

So, I HAVE been there forever, not as long as some, but longer than others. I've seen all the crap, I've watched all the drama. I know all of it. It's in here somewhere.

Just because I choose to float on the outskirts, doesn't mean I don't know what goes on, yes?

Eh, I should clean. This was just a nice flashback. Tom was so sweet, I hope he's happy - one of those who just drifted out and I lost track of him.

omg this is so funny (i was reading friendsfriends when i saw this entry) i -dated- the drummer from fade, for like, forever.
him and carrie (the keyboard player) ended up forming a band on their own, called chromavoid. if you're interested i can try to put some mp3's online for you

I remember Chromavoid. I just never got into them as much as Fade. And even that was barely. It was all Tom *silly grin* Actually, that could be where my obsession with Rogue started - they had the same big hair *lol*

last I heard about Tom, he was a teacher in a commune in NH. So obviously, I didn't take that seriously *grins* and lost track of him.

well from whati know from talking to mark et all, that doesn't sound too far from the truth honestly...i don't knoe if they are in touch now, they weren't really a couple years ago

I believed Teacher. I believed Commune. I couldn't believe BOTH, you know? I haven't heard a peep in years, I wouldn't be surprised by him at all tho - although I don't claim to know him very well. My first gothy party was at Fade House, the weekend of Convergence 2, I think. I never made it past the front porch. I was actually shy about meeting people *lol*

I've been going through some receipts and paperwork and stuff - this isn't the first "OMG" moment I've had this weekend. *grins*

You just made my heart so warm and fuzzy with coat check memories. Aaaah. BTW I know what he is up to. My favorite person who you totally hate keeps me informed. I would post it, but I don't want to plaster soemone else's business all over this thing. Meanwhile, now I have to go listen to Fade, put on some eyeliner and get all gushy-gothy. Thanks, you are making me miss my younger years.

And it was that one's friend I was usually protecting Tom FROM. Silly bint.

a) I found the CD
b) Was remembering crushing on Tom
c) Miss all the girls I used to hang out with at the club

Please let you me know if he is teaching in the area. I remember when he went off to school.

I miss Tom too. One of the few people who could always make me laugh, one time so much that my back hurt. I think it was his Australian accent that night. That, or him yelling "FUCK MY WIFE" out my car's passenger window at people. Too long a story to explain that one.

Believe it or not, I don't do the P2P thing, my compuker couldn't handle it, plus I have no way to burn CDs at home. Not too sure I'd like people poking around my hard drive either.
