You know what amazes me

really, after seeing the DAMN videos all day long.

Is that both towers didn't just fall over immediately. Especially the second hit. The plane cut the building in half. The top should have been sheared off. And it wasn't. They stood for over an hour each, before finally giving in to gravity. AND they fell down, almost imploding, rather than toppling to either side and taking out whole blocks. I know the lives lost were horrendous, but it could have been complete. The towers could have collapsed immediately, instead of getting some of those people out.

I feel bad for everyone who knows they lost someone today, but I can't give up myself. There are people alive in there, and there are people unaccounted for. I have to say please don't give up just yet.

dunno if you heard, but there are people inside the buildings calling from cellphones.

I said earlier, I'm surprised and glad they didnt take out the Empire State building - maybe less people in it overall, but it's closer to the center of town, and would have probably taken out way more people upon it's collapse.

I also heard that was a hoax.
I was expecting to hear about phone calls and the like. Getting those cops out was awesome.
I won't get upset about people dead until there just can't be any more alive. That's like a week or two.
I keep thinking that they haven't mentioned any kids, they had a daycare. Maybe it wasn't in one of the big buildings.
I have to shut down and go to bed, and get up and work tomorrow. I don't think I'm checking email or LJ til I get home.
Me much drinkie tomorrow.
