I love the furry draft horsies, but I LOVE ME SOME THOUROUGHBREDS.
I want to take a race gallop someday. A mile and a half in less than 4 minutes. Face to the wind, nothing but muscle and power underneath.

And no, that's not sexual.

There's a yummy tall horsie, he's black, and not favored to win, but MAN was he tall. I need to find out which guy he was.

If Smarty Jones wins today, I might be in NY in a couple of weeks. I'd like to see a Belmont, and I'd ESPECIALLY like to see a potential Triple Crown winning Belmont. We'll see.

Post Race Update - MEEEEEEP!
Smarty Jones by over a dozen lengthsseven and 3/4 lengths! The other favorite sped up too early. I totally called him when he slowed down. This little guy was AWESOME! He just took off in the final turn and the jockey had been holding him back and just let him go and BAM! no catching him.

Rock Hard Ten was a BITCH *grins* he didn't want to load, his jockey had to dismount, and they had to shove him in. He was ONE UNTHRILLED baby. But he was HUGE compared to the other horsies. AND - he took second. No catching Smarty, but if he hadn't been so evil, he might have had the oomph to try and catch up. I like him SO MUCH.

Now I'm going to give SERIOUS thinking about going to the Belmont. I wonder how hard it would be to get in?

I have known you for 8 years (? somewhere around there)and I never knew you liked horses/racing. Huh, I guess that is my thing to learn for the day, how 'bout that.

I'm not surprised - it's been years since I waxed peotic about a horse race. I love horses and wanted to be a jockey, but then got too tall and too fat. Now I feel guilty if I even look at a horse and think about riding - it's not fair. MAYBE a Clydesdale, but I've always wanted to ride one of those anyway. A warhorse!

I would like to own that sexy tall second place finisher. Especially seeing how pissy he got at the start *grins* that's my kinda man....erm......horse. *grins*
