I'm promised D full payment of the trip before we leave. With the two checks I have, one I will get next Tuesday and what my Cape boss owes me, I have it covered. Barely. All my other billings I have set aside for trip related spending, which will be lean, unless Mommy gives me a pressie.
The hotel I had for the wedding has given me that charge, and according to the paperwork, put it on the correct card. I held the room with one card, then realized I wouldn't have enough to cover the charge, so I changed the card when I checked in. That's the card that's been charged, according to the receipt. However, the online balance does not reflect the charge, nor any hold. In fact, I have access to a LOT more than I anticipated, Like a LOT MORE. The other card, the hold card, is at the balance I expect.
I swear, if they effed up the charge, and put it on Lou's mom's card I'm going to go ballistic! What I think they did is put a hold on, then rather than changing the hold to reflect the actual amount, they tried to charge the whole amount. Now I leave my credit cards limits low on purpose, I didn't have enough to cover two nights in a hotel room, TWICE.
This is the SAME THING that happened at Kyocera. I expected the company to do the RIGHT thing, and instead I got a credit card full of mistakes and a schmuck on the phone implying that if I couldn't afford to have them charge me FOUR TIMES for one order, then I shouldn't be ordering.
Then there is the fact that this card takes forever to register a charge. This could be timing on THEIR end and I might not have the available balance it shows (which I think likely)
IF I had the money to simply pay off the balance I'd be fine, but I don't. It's all in a holding pattern for the trip.
GAH! STUPID STUPID PEOPLE! Why can't someone do their freaking JOB, and do the night audit right! I'm giving it til later today, then I'm chewing someone's ass out over the phone!
Must go and see if my afternoon client will buy the bill I'm presenting him. It's valid, but I haven't been around for work in a while, and I'm later than I told him I'd be.
