My friend Lou, who joined the Army full time emails me on occasion, from Ranger trainging in Fort Benning in GA. He's been keeping me updated on Jump school (6 sucessful jumps, Yea Lou), on EMT training, and on his hell weeks where they try to wash as many people as they can out. He's passed most everything, and knows which Ranger battalion he'll be going into, which begins training at Benning.
To be most likely sent to Iraq, when their training is complete.

I have great respect for people in the military - though things have been peaceful as of late the potential for injury is scary.
Just rambling :)

Chances are he's safer then _WE_ are, but I still really hate the thought.
He, on the other hand, as over the top about it, which, I guess, is the good thing.
It was wierd, he was yelling at me not to tell him about things he'd missed (Daniel Myer at ManRay) then drops this on me.
*sigh*
It would help if he'd stop being a big ole "I need to get laid" poopyhead.
[Editor's note - been there done that, so don't ask me why it's not me he's chasing. He and I are friends, steming from a failed relationship, and it's pretty cool. We know each other's secrets, to a point.]
