I'm in desperate need of a new Hard Drive. My ripping tendencies have cut my 40 gig drive down to 7, soon to be less.

I'm looking for a cheap drive, the bigger the better. I also need to fit it into a 5 1/2" bay, but I'll get that later (as in later this week, not after the install *grins*)

Anyone have a standard PC harddrive they want to get out of the house? Barring that, anyone see any sales going on? I'm looking to spend under $100. I saw some that were refurbished 120Gigs, but I'm willing to "settle" for 80Gigs, and cheaper.

i recommend checking http://www.pricewatch.com/ for HD prices, you should be able to get like 120GB for under $100, I just got a 250GB for $199, and that was at circiut city.

in January, i got 80 gig hard drives for 70 bucks each at Microcenter

Eh, Microcenter didn't have anything that cheap when I was in there last week. And the help Sucked.
I dunno, I want to get this done now, maybe I'll take a ride in tomorrow and see. I need the hardware to intall it into a 5 1/4 inch bay anyway.
