I'm going to keep on the DL and not say anything directly to her, but BOY DO I want to.
Anyway, in other news. How many new clients did I pick up today? Two. Maybe three. *gag* And they call me stupid for not taking the real job. You know, I could, in theory, work LESS than 30 hours a week and make MAD money. I just don't have the time right now to do the work. I'm on the Cape on Saturday then heading to a new client's house, to confer, and probably enter his whole 2003 checkbook into Quickbooks. He needs help. And he said the magic words "A couple of hours a month" THIS is the kind of client I want. Someone who makes the decisions, and lets me do the work. I have a client or two who think _I_ should be making the decisions. And you know, I shouldn't be calling in payroll, I can't be sure I'm going to be where I'm supposed to be. Maybe after this week, and my replacement gets familiar with my big hell client. Once she's flying mostly solo, I can schedule my client regularly once a week. Hmmm, a schedule, how fancy!
I'm up way too late. I went to a nice dinner with D (GREAT Chinese - I need to take peeps here. Bit on the expensive side, but So worth it!) and passed out due to cold, and food coma when I got home. Had to wake up and finish my work, which I should have done earlier. but it's done, and that's the important thing. VERY glad I didn't go to Haven, VERY going next week. I'm looking forward to my very Own Hotel ROOM! with TUB! I'm going to soak, and have bubbles and stuff! And, I should be able to be there by 5, for a nice dinner and soak before the club. Hell, another night in the room sounds divine, but I'm not sum - my schedule won't allow it. Maybe after the season.
OK, I'm wired, but I MUST go to bed, I have to get up reasonably early tomorrow. I have calls to make, and stuff to figure out.
OH _ my new boots arrived - exactly the same as my old favorite boots. I'm THRILLED. I need to email KA the sites - she's looking for stompy boots. And I need to find time to make my curly extensions, in time for Haven. I think I'm taking Friday night for myself and craft things, we'll see if I have to work on Saturday.
Didn't I say bed? *grins* Actually in a good mood. Heeee!

But, it's in Quincy, which is a bit far for you to go for Chinese food. *grins* I do remember there was a good place in Salem, but this was a million moons ago. You want to look for a place that has Oriental people eating in it. The dish we had was a light chicken over angel hair pasta (which made it a nice change) and although it was a bit bland, the appetizers MORE than made up for it. Especially these wee dumpling like things, with pork and shrimp. Yummy yummy yummy.
