Go to Cambridge Client. Work good solid three hours. Was forgotten about, but it turned out all right in the end. Head to car, to drive co-worker to Harvard Square. Turn on car.

So I call AAA, I get a sub, and am chided by some Russian guy about not being into baseball. Told him my Yankees lose so I get a hotel room theory. Well, I laughed, anyway.
bossman comes along, insists on getting my car a jump. Engine starts YAY! Plan is, drive straight to Sears for a new battery.
Pull out onto Mass Ave - car goes *THUNK* and I lose ALL electrical power.
As in the car goes DEAD. I'm NOT thinking my engine seized, it wasn't the same.
Bossman agrees it's my battery. Apparently it's LEAKING battery acid and the positive node is LOOSE and it's leaking from the node.
I had just, mind you, cancelled the AAA ticket.
*sighs*
I call back, get NEW ticket open, and the nice, cute, but unfortunately from Revere tow truck guy arrives. I tell him about the battery, and what bossman told me to tell him - he wants NO PART of battery acid (and I don't blame him) Me, and him, and my baby take a nice trip from Cambridge to Norwood (thank YOU AAA gold card!) He gets put right where the nice service guys will find him tomorrow, and I tipped Mr. Cutie, at least enough for a pack of cigs. maudlinkitty and azanthia picked me up, even tho they were doing a roomies thing night, which I SO appreciate! The Unit would have been an EVIL Bitch if I'd asked her to come get me.
So, I have questions -
- the damn dealer's mechanics are in there CONSTANTLY! I'm in for an oil change once a month, usually (due to high mileage) why the HELL didn't they tell me about this?
- It's not like they haven't noticed OTHER things, like the radiator (which BTW doesn't seem to be leaking!) and the muffler, and the brakes. WHY wouldn't they notice the battery?
- _I_ freaking noticed the battery, enough so that I wanted to replace it with the check I'm getting Thursday. WHY THEY HELL didn't they push it (LIKE they did the radiator)?
notice, I'm bitter about the dealer? Either they missed it, or they MIGHT have told me once (and I Do recall hearing a "hey you should replace that at some point.") and never said anything again? it's corroded to the point of LEAKING, for cripe's sake! I have NO IDEA what the shite looks like, that's what I pay THEM to do.
*mumble* I need to get myself a car-savvy boyfriend.
So I got home about 8, had some leftovers, since the Unit feels guilty she didn't come get me (can't figure her out) and have spent the rest of the evening showing BenRodda hentai roleplaying games (via AIM you perverts) Anyone have one they wouldn't mind lending me? they look about up my alley, entertainment wise as of late?

BUT, priorities first, and I LOVE MY CAR, I mean it, I don't want to trade him in just yet. Dammit. (but if I have to......)
