Seriously
*kicks rocks, puppies, babies, you name it, I'm kicking it*
I need a new radiator in the car. THAT's why I've been popping lights. That's why I couldn't get the cap off. add this to the growing list of "issues" that require fixing before they become emergencies (this is obviously at the top of the list.) I figure I need to pump about $1,000 of repairs into the car prior to tax season. It NEEDS to behave in the season.
Top this, with the dental work that has been put off long enough. Probably about $1,000 there.
The only good things about this:
- nothing needs to be done TODAY
- The cutie hottie new service guy at Saturn. I'll say it, and probably regret it; he looks just like
jhimm With these adorable ear plugs, and a charming smile and reassuring way of speaking to go with it. *sighs* I may have to go in there more often *evil grin*
And today I hope to get everything I need to done, and NOT have the boss look at me funny. One GOOD thing there - he;s out tomorrow. Bad thing - they're taking the server down at 5, and I might not be able to work after that. how is that bad? I have TONS to do and need ot leave at a reasonable time tomorrow. Thinking about maybe NOT going to El's cabin and leaving Friday morning right to the Inn instead. this sucks.
So, the moral of THAT story - my vacation that I need so badly, to see
poetman and my favorite city in thw whole wide world - again in jeopardy. All this money I need for things, was what is supposed ot be paying for plane and travel expenses. *sighs* After the weekend, I'll figure things out. This blows.

Date: 2003-09-17 12:20 pm (UTC)And some other "part" (to be honest I was hyperventialting at the time, I missed the description.) that IF damaged needs to be replaced. That's about $22.
Their guesstimate = about $500 total.
*sighs* that's a round trip plane ticket to Heathrow and one night in a hotel.
Sad thing is - I trust my dealer implicitly. So it's not like I can go elsewhere and get a better deal.
oh well, I didn't really want to go anywhere anyway *pouts*
i forgot
Date: 2003-09-17 03:02 pm (UTC)New Radiator: $500
Front Disc Brakes (pads & Rotors): $250 (IF I have a coupon, which I should have by the time I want to do it.)
Muffler: $250 (just the muffler, not the whole exhaust system. I COULD get it done cheaper, but as the mechanic said "You can have it done cheaply each year, or have us do it and not worry about ti again until you trade in the car.")
Total major items: $1,000 approx
I have some paint and body issues to deal with, plus I'd LOVE to spring for a nice interior cleaning.
I'm FAR more worried about my teeth, which is a WHOLE other ballgame.
well...

Date: 2003-09-17 12:33 pm (UTC)Remember the CB saga - HE was my car bitch.
Or my friend Marc, who the last time I asked him to do something, almost got him kicked out of his house, was more expensive than the dealer and may have contributed to a little breaking of the engine. Remind me to tell the about how this is the THIRD engine in the car *hangs head in shame*
No, I LOVE my dealer, and I'm willing to pay for it, because IF something goes wrong, they handle it. Period. Plus it will have a warranty. Oh, I forgot to mention it's original to the car - 7 years or 173,000 miles. Not too shabby.
