You know I don't mea you when I say:
COMPUTER TECH GUYS SUCK MAJOR TIME ASS WITHOUT A REACH AROUND!
Hi, you're getting HOW much an hour to say to me "Huh. I dunno what it is, go Google for it."
He's a nice, polite guy, I've met him, but don't TELL me to fix my own effing problem, that's what YOU GET PAID TO DO!!!!
Let me sum up - I've been having major issues with a self replicating, self MAILING virus. I finally (with the monkey's help, considering the effing password was NOT SOMETHING I COULD EVER GUESS) got the Antivirus running, and it is making a total mess of the virus' load (he he - load) But it was doing something funky to one of the computers. So I call and ask "hey, I'm getting this message about Foo missing file. What is it?" This is when I got the Google suggestion.
Well, I did that, found a link back to Norton's which provides a FULL REMOVAL UTILITY, which fixed this computer up right nice.
IF HE had done the effing Googling, I wouldn't have KNOWN how easy it was to fix, and I would have thought him a god. NOW I think he's a loser. (Oddly enough, he reminds me of CB, except Techmonkey is NOT an asshole, just a butthead. There is a difference. I'm not pissed at TechMonkey, CB is at the top, bottom and everywhere in between on my shitlist.)
Google for it. Jeebus H.
Don't YOU THINK I could have thought of that?!?!
Next time the boss says "Call *TechCompany*" I'm going to remind her of how much TODAY cost her, for the answer "Google for it."
