Actually, today was kinda OK. If I was in the mood for slow and lazy, which, thankfully, I was.
- Had pseudo-argument, which ended up with the party "hanging up" on me via AIM. That SO didn't thrill me. OK, I'm being difficult and bitchy. You have guests. How about a "I'm sorry you're angry, but I can't talk to you about it now, since nothing I say is making any difference." Just hanging up after giving me the opening they did - just dumb. I didn't think I could be any angrier on that subject - SURPRISE, I am! Dunno how this is gonna go. I anticipate being ignored A LOT, and I'm not as involved in this as I was once, so it doesn't need to get resolved "today" as it were. I guess we'll see.
- Took off for Attleboro, returned tank tops to Torrid, got cash (YAY for cash!), return to Frederick's, they gave me MORE than I paid for it (What's up with THAT? I mean, OK they're not on sale NOW, but that doesn't make any sense!) I wanted the credit, they wanted me to pick out something else, but couldn't MAKE me take credit. Yay for extra credit on the card of evil.
- Got ice cream. Was yummy.
- Helped a friend who was lost in the bowels of Dorchester. Yikes.
- stopped by a thrift store in Brockton, was AWFUL, although they had some nice shoes.
- Got Wendy's. WOULD have been yummy, except they screwed up my burger royally. Unfortunately I was all the way home before I found out. I got caught in traffic, due to a really BAD car wreck, noone was hurt but one of the cars had pretty much exploded all over the place *sans flames* We were all backed up maneuvering around, and the other side was backed up watching us. *sighs* Stupid humans.
Now I'm home, I have one load of laundry in, I don't think I need to do any more this week. There's a special on Nefertiti on in a half hour, and I'm really looking forward to it. they think they have her mummy, and they're looking for DNA proof. Although IF they did, I assume I would have seen it by now. but they're doing a thing on how powerful she was, and how her descendants tried to destroy her memory. One thing I'd like to see in Germany is the bust of Nefertiti that the Cairo Museum is trying to get back. Of course, I'd love to see the ENTIRE Cairo museum, I'd be willing to out up with the heat and the whole "desert" thing to visit the museum, and ride a camel to the Pyramids and Sphinx. Money is a factor, and the whole "let's kill Americans" attitude. I wouldn't want to go alone, Actually, I'd like to go with Lou, and some of his Ranger buddies. I'd feel safe with them. I'm not stupid, there are some places a white American woman shouldn't go alone. The Middle East is one of them. (not the club.)
Anyway, I need to go throw my laundry into the dryer, so it's done after the special. Then come back, hang up some stuff, and settle down to watch.
