A call to the Unit produces "I told you they were shutting off the gas" You said Friday. "No I said Monday" No, you SAID FRIDAY! My hair is nasty enough that leaving without a shower is unthinkable. So here I am.
I want today off so badly I can taste it. For what, tho? To sit around? I need Friday off. So, it looks like I'm working late tonight, and Wednesday. I could have sworn I have the phone number around here somewhere, so I can call my minion and make excuses, but I can't seem to find the card right now.
I hate this feeling, I'm becoming more and more disturbed by it. I want to get up and go to work like a "normal" adult, I can't fathom why this is so difficult.
Off to check on the water, and look around again for the business card I need to call my minion. This sucks donkey balls.

These are excuses I know, but they're valid. *grins*
The hot water is on NOW, so I just got out of the shower. I'm trying to tell my inner child that NO we can NOT stay home from work today, we have things to do (and if I didn't promise a vendor a check, I'd be staying home. *sigh* I knew I should have written it Friday.)

Date: 2003-06-23 11:31 am (UTC)They shut the gas off from 9Am - 12PM, more than enough time for "normal" people to shower and get out. Plus, we were notifed last week of this. I just mis-heard my Unit.
I'm just lazy, and this is me paying for it.
