It's about white collar layoffs. We the peons of the workforce aren't' the only ones who are having trouble. Imagine being a vice president, ever wanting for anything, having the heavy mortgage and the kids and the lifestyle - and losing it all in a layoff.

I am beyond fortunate, I can get away with the shitty hours I keep, I have plenty of work, and actually don't fear ever being able to find any. I've always been "Does this job fit me?" then " I need a JOB!"

It scares me where I COULD be, instead of where I am, and the potential I have for more. And, I need to encourage CB to buy his house, pay it off, and get the hell out of the business, before HE gets laid off.

I know how you are feeling. I always thought social service was the best venue for finding a job no matter what (with NYC always needing social services) Now its like I am scared of how small the job market looks and how I wont be able to be so picky!!
