OK, I'm stuck in the house, that's a bad.
But I have a sudden day OFF! Nothing to do, but be at home, ALONE!

I'm giddy with it.

I took my car for it's new windshield at 10, a bit late after having to go to the bank. The service desk woman is a complete moron. She's got me who walked in, and someone on the phone and CANNOT handle it. OK, I'll grant that the person on the phone sounds like an idiot as well, but I can't believe that the moron at the desk was at all helpful. I don't think this is the nice lady who set up my appointment last week.

So I told her about how there isn't a LOT of damage, and she looks at me all pissed and is "Well your INSURANCE won't cover it, *great heaving sigh* I GUESS one of the techs can look at it." Oh, really, if it's not that much TROUBLE! Anyway the tech wasn't a moron, took one look at the windshield, and the most major, now spiderwebbing ding, and said "Oh, yeah, you're all set, that's in the wiper rage, and that's what I'd tell your agency. They won't doubt me." So I leave it, and make my way home.

And I never want to have to take the bus again. I forgot what brain trusts usually do. Now, I'm not knocking the bus, and I know a lot of people who do, during rush hour. Buses have their uses, but I never never NEVER want to be stuck on them for any length of time ever again. Between the lady who had the stroller, who refused any help, to the polite Nigerian guy, who suddenly spoke not one word of English when the driver said "I told you yesterday that your pass doesn't go all the way to Brockton, you owe me another $0.50." and then wouldn't back down. I don't blame the driver, and I KNOW the guy was faking, given that most drivers would have given up. But it isn't the driver or the guy who paid, but another passenger, some stranger, who just thought the poor guy didn't have fifty cents._I_ knew the guy was faking, I wouldn't give him any money (the driver kept saying he'd talked to the guy yesterday.

Anyway, so now I'm loitering at my computer, downloading the new Weird Al album, there's noway I CAN go anywhere, I cna have food delivered, I don't have to go to work, AND the Unit has agreed to drop me off to get the car, later.

I'll say it again, I'm giddy.
I'm going to unpack the Shark, pick everything up off the floor, vacuum, maybe put the [livejournal.com profile] halo boots on Ebay, put up pictures, go through files, do a bit more work on my after hours client, and just sit back and enjoy the not going anywhere!

Woooohoooo!
