tiamatladySo, before I packed everything up, I got out the instructions for the modem.
I noticed it mentioned a PARTICULAR kind of wire it needed.
I switched connectiong wires.
I'm now posting from Boradband, since everything went SMOOTHLY!
I can't TELL you how pissed I am right now.
Off to kill little fluffy things - or some trained Comcast Monkey.

4 hours of my life, sitting on my ass.
Ok this is NO different from usual.
Plus - I just tried the cable in hooking up the router, and it failed there too.
I think Daddy gave me inferior wiring, *sigh*
