kazamadaddy, for the help today. OK, I spent about $175, but there are rebates, I'll probably be getting about 40% back (although MAYBE I want to have the ability to TAKE the equipment if I move, and if I own ir, she can't argue to keep it) plus we got the stuff cheaper, AND with rebates. I can't wait to begin downloading lots of stuff *grins* I think this will make, at least MY life, a lot easier. But I think I may have to install another fan in my computer, I'd like to leave it on longer for the net connection and such, but, maybe it's not worth it. I know the unit will have a hissy.
Anyway, I'm putting up, behind a cut, the Tarot layout I got the other night. I'd be interested in other opinions and interpretations
I use the Spiral Tarot, a gift from Abby several years ago. it still feels "right" I have no desire as of yet to return to my Aquarian Tarot I'd used for years, mixe din with my beginner's throws on the Rider-Waite, and also the Tarot of the Witches, which was evil and always gave bad advice. The Spiral does not use reversed meanings, so all the cards are upright, even if they started out reserved, and I have no idea how they started out. There is also no significator card.
I used the Celtic Cross spread, in the manner outlined by the little book. I'm going to put down the order drawn number, as well as my assumed posisiton meaning. Feel free to give me a view by how YOU usually look at it.
1 - Present Position - IX - The Hermit
2 - Immediate Influence (crossing) - Five of Pentacles
3 - Goal or Destiny (top of cross) - X - Wheel of Fortune
4 - Distant Past (right of center) - XVIII The Moon
5 - Recent Past (bottom of cross) - XX Judgement
6 - Future Influence (left of center) - Eight of Pentacles
7 - Questioner - Six of Cups
8 - Enviorment - Knight of Cups
9 - Inner Emotions (or to me, Hope and fears) - Knight of Cups
10 - Final Result - Ten of Cups
I'm unsurprised by the number of Major Arcana. I get that a lot, a lot of what goes on id out of my control. I AM surprised by the number of pentacles, my suit is usually Swords.
Oh, and while I was shuffling, three cards fell out. Two I can't remember. The last one was The Lovers.
Right, so I want to watch some more anime, I made myself some tea, one bag of Green, one bag of Brown Rice and it's working out rather well. I'm going to freshen the hot water, put my feet up and watch Anime til I feel sleepy. I don't feel like dealing with my finaces right now, although I may fill out my rebates and get them ready to send.

Date: 2003-05-17 07:49 am (UTC)it took me a long time to be able to work with the deck, I will confess. It's not for everyone, by a long shot. but I've found over the years as I have worked with it, I have gotten to know it well. and it knows me all too well sometimes...
I have a least ten tarot decks, and 6 or 7 other divination items (i ching, russian gypsy I just got, faerie oracle, runes and rune cards, moon oracle, phoenix cards, wisdom of the maya... oh, and an original edition Vertigo tarot.)
