May. 10th, 2003 11:43 amThis sucks
Now, the story is written from a classical enthusiast's point of view, and I'm not into that. But, I have the same problem finding Goth based CD's half the time.
I just remember being in there, with Dave, a LONG time ago, while he looked at CD's and I watched the "Face to Face" video (Siouxsie & the Banshees), the one and only time I've seen it, and him saying 'Huh, that's cool." HMV had been a meeting place, and slacking place, and was WAY more accessible than any other store, save Newbury.
*sigh* The Harvard Square of my teens is going away. I feel older now than ever before. It's bad enough that the pit rats lack the apolmb of the ones I hung out with. Yes, they may have been rats, but I know a couple of them were HIGHLY intelligent, and spent hours discussing literature and science, not getting high and being skanky.
*sigh* I have to get intot shower and get to work. My night was shattered after I worked late, and looked forward to coming home and being by myself, to cook and do some pampering, and find the place dark, my nephew asleep in the living room, and my mother watching TV and bitching. it RUINED my whole night. I need to start saving money. Once I have first, last, security, AND two months of living expenses saved, I'm leaving. Don't ask me how I'm doing this. I may just end up working ALL the time until I can. I NEED my own place. Desperately.
