tiamatladyI was reading a Boston.Com article on the end of FarScape, and how some fans are objecting to SciFi.com's new "direction" when I came across THIS travesty:
"In another affront to fans, she adds, Sci Fi has decided to replace one of the ''Battlestar Galactica'' main male characters - Starbuck - with a female actress in the December mini-series. ''There's a huge uproar over that,'' she says."
OK, I am NOW offically FUCK THAT! I'm sorry, Starbuck was, has been, and always WILL be my favorite man in tan pants! I mean, who ELSE could have carried on being SUCH an ass SO well??? (except for a certain Han Solo, but he's the MAN, and Starbuck is just a boy in tan pants.)
Who can I write to outlaw this? Screw Iraq, THIS is WAR!
(Yes I know I'm a geek. I was a kid obsessed with this show, to screw with Starbuck is just not DONE!)

I hate to say it but...
Date: 2003-03-17 12:04 pm (UTC)As I am firewalled ($%#$%@$%#$^%$T$%^$%T) from getting out of this office I can't look up the exact company. But a specific French Boradcasting company bought Sci-fi. This is why we have Battlestar in the first place, the French wanted it back.
They just can't seem to leave a good thing alone.
Since I don't have cable I won't be watching it anyways. Still, it -IS- hella-gay.

And I'm STILL pissed about Starbuck.
The good thing is their repetativeness, when I went to bed last night they were on the _second_ RESHOWING of Children of Dune. That's sad.
