someone remind me how good an idea I thought it was to put my books on Amazon. 90% of my sales went flawlessly. THEN some bitch complains because the copy of Neverwhere I sold wasn't "First edition" it was a bookclub edition. See, I do NOT see any difference, plus I have a recollection of buying the damn thing in the bookstore. So basically she thought she was stealing a very good book from an uninformed newbie, and got, in her words, cheated. She paid SEVEN dollars plus shipping for a BRAND NEW UNREAD copy of Neverwhere. I don't care WHERE the frack it came from. Then I got emails from someone asking about some damage I'd described to one of my books. How bad is it, they want a collector's edition etc. OK so I described it, in DETAIL. I offered a picture. They said Hmmm, maybe send me the picture. That's when I lost interest, AND left for London about the same time. He emailed me every couple of weeks or so and I said Yeah yeah. he finally BOUGHT IT from me from Amazon. *sigh* I'd forgotten it was still up. See I got involved in my JOB and life. No, not very responsible of me, but I put up about 100 books, and sold maybe 20. They'd come in JUST after a day off, and I wouldn't have any time to package anything up properly for days. I'd decided to take them down when they all started reaching the 60 day mark and expired.

I'm just seriously annoyed. Someone who said "They sound TOO damaged." what am I supposed to do? Some people freak me out. I ask questions, if I get ignored, I move on and find it somewhere else, no big whoop, you know? These are books that are STILL AVAILABLE from the book club, at about the same price, maybe a tad more but they're NEW, not used.

It's just the time of year, when I had time to devote to this I was an excellent saleswoman, but I have more things to do now, and those things make me more money. I'm planning on getting everything together for me to sell AFTER tax season is over, enough to devote one day a week to it. Like my books, and the rest of the stuff I want to Ebay. But notice the use of the word "devote" I KNOW I don't have the time, how do I get rid of the annoying people who have WAY more free time than I do.

The easy answer - take everything down. And they are down.
how do I rid myself of the annoying feelings? I shipped out my last sale today, he'll have it in two days, and I get an email about when did I ship what went out OVER a week ago.

On top of this, that client I rearranged my schedule for? Cancelled. ARGH!
