Real Scottish Accent in 3....2.....1

heh.

in other news, I need to make sure I turn down the heat at night. I've become my mother, my grandmother and grandfather *sighs* But in all seriousness, I sleep better in the cold, I have a lovely comforter that keeps me very warm, unless it's already warm. The past two nights I've turned the heat dwn to 63 or something before sleeping, and have slept like a baby, although there IS a problem of getting up into the cold. I've developed strategy that has me up and turning up the heat right when I wake, so that by the time I'm ready to shower it's warm enough for me. Last night I forgot, and I also forgot how high it was turned up, so I slept BADLY, and tossed and turned all night.

OMG - his real accent is SO DAMN SEXY! WHY must it be so?? I'm a complete sucker for an accent.

I need to do something with today. Not sure what I should do but I have an idea. I need to stay close to the house and spend little, I have some expenses coming up. Someone's plum wine habit for example.

Question

is anyone on my friends list interested in a pre-distribution list of the books I'm getting rid of? Honestly - most of it is supermarket romance novel Pap, to keep the "ladies" happy *grins*
BUT

I've just scanned in two boxes and counting of SciFi, Star Trek, Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance and the few remaining Star Wars books left. I'm working my way through the rest - I think I will keep at it today until I've finished doing all the boxes. The pile is less daunting than it was on Tuesday.

So basically - I'd sell these to friends and friends of for maybe a quarter apiece, plus shipping if necessary, or for trades You could pass the link of the list onto friends you might think would be interested.

if there's no interest at all, I'll put them up on Swaptree and go from there. It's going to take some figuring out to get the list up to that interwebs and I don't think I want to bother if it's not going to pan out. I COULD just put up my Swaptree list, but something is up there and not everything is loading.

Maybe posting to the Snark Filled B0st0n LJ would pan out. Hmmm.

Anyway, list is pending if anyone has holes in their library and wants a peekiepeek.

book sorting continues apace. I've found another Library book. Consider me devastated. I have to see if the library wants the books back. In my defense, this particular book is a cheapo romance novel that I probably paid for, and the due date is in my Summer Horriblis - it's dated between when my Grandfather died, and when my Grandmother did. It was packed up with everything else I owned, and thrown into storage at Teh Unit's until it was decided "what to do with me" and I was ALL ABOUT not dealing. I did a lot of laying on the couch in my Js - oddly, much like the past two months *grins* I was also 15, soon to turn 16, and progress into my junior year of high school, which sucked out loud, and the only things that made any difference were Joanne and Laura, and then Abby and Kendall. (whoa, 20 years ago. That should say how much it impacted me - I recall it like it was yesterday)

Anyway, I have almost 900 books on the leaving the house list, a bed full of books to be scanned into the keep pile, and I really need to start in on rereading them, so some of those can leave as well. I've found a stack of personal favorites, and hopefully will continue to feel the same about them. I'm about halfway through this box I'm working on, and I have 7 more boxes to sort through. I should be done in a few hours, and can work on getting them posted to thar intertubes for sale. Also with sorting the keepers by author, I need some may to go through and read them, and I'm thinking this way will work, with exceptions on new books I've been waiting for.

Ugh

It's dirty. I'm dirty.

almost 1300 books listed to the fr sale/swap list. I'm working on getting most of them up to Swaptree. For some reason the site isn't recognizing all of the books, but you know, it's not a big deal.

The rest of tonight I need to tackle the pile on my bed or there's no sleep for me! I need to scan them into my Keeper list, so I can refine my need list.

Then I can email someone about not working with books tomorrow and leaving the house! YAY!

and also eat. Heheheh. Has Pop Tarts, will travel.

ETA - Ugh, so 1300 on the to go list, there are 925 on the stay list, of that 136 are "wanted" so they don't exist in my house yet.

That's a lot, and I spent money on almost all of them. I will say a sizeable chuck of my older ones I did not actually buy - when the used book store some of D's (and mine, thanks to that place) friends worked at went out of business, I had come to visit and bring lunch, and the woman who ran it said "You're such a nice girl, whenever you come here take all the books you want. You enjoy them so much!" so I got a SHITELOAD completely free, because boy did I take advantage!

at least I have stuff to do for the next, oh, two years or so. *grins*
