I'm starting to get cranky
Dec. 21st, 2008 01:17 pmand beginning to think M is right about the pussiness of New Englanders.
I want to leave the house. We need some food, although we can continue to make do. I have to run over to the bank and make some deposits ahead of tomorrow AM. I'd REALLY like to treat myself to a box of hair dye (the one thing I wanted, and the only thing I forgot at Target the other night. *sighs*)
But I really can't. Our driveway is borderline on treacherous, because the plows don't come in force until it's done snowing. It's not done snowing. My space is dug out somewhat, but thanks to some asshattery by the asshat downstairs neighbors M pulled the car in Nose First, which is never conductive to getting out of the space covered in snow. Once I get to the street - IT'S not plowed properly either. People are driving like morons, and any errands I run are going to be risky due to snow caked on my tires, other people's poor driving habits, and lack of traction.
And it's still snowing.
Ugh.
Leaving means bundling up, getting snowy and wet, getting in the car, taking my life in my hands, driving with white knuckled grip on the wheel, getting in and out in snowbanks doing what I need to, then getting home and getting my car back down the driveway and into the space. Which is covered in snow because there's no way the plows have come. I actually WISH I had my own driveway - I'd have a snowblower, and be able to just go dig myself out, instead of waiting for someone's minimum wage paid brother in law. Asses.
And the Football Game is on - and M thinks I'm interested in details. It's like being in the office, except I have nowhere to go but bed. *sighs*
ETA - I just rebooted the modem and router - and got a look at the Pats game - holy SHIT is is snowing! I might not be going anywhere at all. Not Good.
