Probable Radio Silence
Nov. 29th, 2008 07:28 amSo we leave Cambridge today for London. We've switched hotels in London, due to an opening in our preferred hotel near Euston, and me just flat out hating the hotel we stayed in last week. I can deal with the tiny room, I can deal with somewhat uncaring employees, I can't deal with LOADS of smelly tourists along with a general smell to the hotel. It was a cleaning product smell, yet the place didn't feel clean.
So this hotel has paid for Wifi, and usually it's not worth it IF we can get them to cooperate. The last time they said "Oh we don't have enough" I asked enough what, and actually didn't get an answer. They advertise they have wireless, so there really isn't an "enough" that needs to happen. *shrugs* But I'm assuming that I won't be online. We've got a busy schedule anyway, Vagabonds tonight, once we finally get moving to the hotel, then out and about tomorrow to finish off with a ride on the Eye.
If everything goes to plan I fly out Monday. I'm hoping a bit that I'll get bumped but I won't know until Monday. What I'm really hoping is that Sunday's crap travel cock-ups flow downhill to Monday. I wouldn't mind one more night here, and the money is good. I'll volunteer to be bumped when I get there, see what happens. Which reminds me I need to put pertinent numbers into my cell before I close down.
So yeah - it's been fun so far, I've seen people and relaxed, but I'm aware of what I'm coming home to. I guess I will worry about that when I get home since there's nothing I can do from here.
