What the hell?
Mar. 10th, 2008 08:04 amAm I doing awake - Wide Awake - at this hour? I decided to do an end run around my LJ addiction, and check email and LJ before work. I'm hoping to get out in time to hit up Dunkies for a coffee. A few non-sequiturs that have been rattling around:
- Black Sun is this upcoming weekend. ONce it's over, expect me to fall off the grid. I've been a bukket of fail all around, not quite getting everything done for work, not quite getting everything done for that. It'll all come together, in the end, but until then it's a bit of a fret-train. After that I REALLY need to concentrate on making sure work gets done. I really need to lay off the intortubes at work.
Oh - hey - if I have an agreement with you, that stands, and I'll grab you after BSF. If you haven't heard from me, or we didn't have anything standing, consider me too busy. No seriously, it's hard enough for me to do anything when I get home. There are only two people on this list, AFAIR.
- I got my first crack addict on Swaptree, I sent out one of the ONLY brand new DVDs I have, and get an email, like a day later, asking me for when did I ship, and they want a tracking number. Well actually Swaptree says go ahead and use FIRST CLASS mail, and I don't use the tracking because at that point WHY didn't I just buy the item new? I responded as such and she emails me back, in all caps mind, schooling me on how to properly mail stuff. Oh and she'll leave feedback AFTER she's watched it, I can only imagine to make sure it's not damaged. Of Course, it's SHRINKWRAPPED, so I have no idea what it's condition, other that it's, you know, NEW. I'm having a hard time saying "Why don't you bite me? while you're at it. SOME of us just, you know, Go to the POST OFFICE." I need to make a note to myself, somewhere, anywhere, to never accept a trade from this user again. Maroon.
(In fact Swaptree suggests you use media mail for books. Which I think doesn't need to happen. I always use first class, and if there's an issue, or I'm late I use faster. Crack-headed weirdo.)
- My room (and house frankly) is still a cluttered mess. I do, and I've said this before, but I REALLY REALLY mean it *grins*, but I'm motivated after the season. The more I sell, the more money I put together for the trip I'm planning in October.
- Speaking of money, I'm not happy AT ALL at the state of the wallet. I'm just not seeing the payoff for all the work I seem to be doing, I mean what the fuck? Maybe I am seeing it in that all my bills are paid, and I'm not struggling, but I'm not ahead. I'm cranky about this. The less I'm ahead the harder it'll be in April when things hit bottom. Oh well, again, see motivated. Every time I pay the bill for my storage unit I get resentful, and that totally needs to go. Between that, paying off my car, and paying off certain credit card debt should give me the breathing room I need. See it's hard to cut into a budget - that's already at shoestrings, ya know?
- I also seem to have a ton of clothes I'm not wearing. I think there's a handful of shirts that are going, probably some pants after the season. Although then I will need new ones. *sighs*
- I bought some mineral makeup to try. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. It's not the best quality, so maybe, again, after the season, I'll run to the maul and look around.
Hrm. Ok, that's about all I can dump that isn't totally work. Work blows. That simple. Not the extra CPA stuff, but dayjob. Blows. Hardcore. I will probably still be working at least 50 hour weeks AFTER the season. I hate that.
