Conversion of Video for Ipods

OK, I'm stumped.

I've been converting some video files from Video (.avi usually) to MP4, for use on my Ipod. Then, once converted, I pull them into Itunes to upload to the Ipod. I have a series of files where Some files convert and import, and others don't. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason fir this. I thought maybe I had too many parentheses (there's some that are part one and two, then I append them with Ipod, but that has just proven false) but that's not right.

Does anyone have any idea why Itunes is picking and choosing, is there something I'm missing. I'll settle for a reputable info board link, where I can look for this issue. I've already deleted and reencoded from scratch, the only thing I can come up with is that the initial file might have been corrupted. I'll try that shortly, see if they play OK on the computer before encoding.

For dawg's sake - the File Names are too long. Once I cut down the names, it's fine. *eyeroll* WTF is up with that.

Weird. Otherwise getting stuff to the Ipod has been blissfully easy.

I'm eating about every two hours. I swear, it's a good thing I'm not home more often, I'd eat me out of house and home.

Very little work has been accomplished, I've been responding to one client exclusively (outside of the snow zone, the bastards) and between eating and digging out my car, I've been pretty busy. Oh and a load of laundry. I'm going to take a quick break once the dryer is done to put everything away. Yay socks!

No call from CPA #2 means I get to stay in tonight. Yay! Of course, having said this means I'll get a call in an hour. He's waiting for info from someone in Seattle. So 4 hours behind. I HAD to go and say it. I just had to. he just called saying all the info had been forwarded, can I come in. So much for getting data entry done today. *sighs*

Can't I do this job from Britian? Considering how connected we all are - I could work noon to 8, and be on American time. *pouts*

Bad Girl

I called CPA #2 and refused to come in. I told him I have dayjob work to do, which I do. He said "well it's fine, the client just got us the stuff and we've been pestering him. Too bad." I'll go in on Saturday, for a full day and get a muncha cruncha buncha things done.

I just HAVE to get up and HAVE to get there early. Like 10AM (Hey, that's early for ME on a weekend!) I start pooping out about 6 without a venue change. Or a break.

So now I'm just finishing up some dinner, I plan on cleaning up then pulling out the data entry to work on for a bit. How much fun are snow days?!?! (/sarcasm)
