Scheduling
Jun. 16th, 2007 02:07 pmThe key to a productive Saturday/weekend is scheduling myself an appointment in the AM. Something, anything. And not just "head to CPA #2" because there's noone there to meet. I arranged to work for an outside client this AM (which I haven't billed in almost a year, this check, when it finally comes will be SO sweet) and I knew she was waiting for and counting on me. I ran a BIT late due to coffee needs, but got there and got everything done. She putters and does the work her boss won't let her get to during the week, and everyone is happy.
I then popped to target where I returned one thing, then spent more (the cord to my cooling mat is borken, and I needed a new one. I haven't decided what to do with the old one. I got that at Best Buy, which is evil to do returns, and I could use the extra mat for travelling. *shrugs*) THEN to my office to make sure I printed and faxed this bill for today (which I still need to fax but I can do that later, I need the right fax number) then I went to the store for some supplies for lunch/dinners.
I'm a bit pooped and annoyed at people. I can't see around the big ass SUVs and trucks to drive safely, and I Have arrogant asshats behind me honking because I'm not turning fast enough, or going the SECOND the light turns green. (That instance brought about by the HUGE SUV/Truck that was trying to make a left towards me, that was stuck in the middle of the road as the light turned red on him, green for me, and I could TELL he was going to rev his engine and go. So I have one asshat male doing as he pleases, and blowing through a red light, and the other asshat male behind me pissed off that I didn't plow right through the intersection. I'd have to assume that my plowing through and getting into an accident MIGHT NOT be the best course of action? I served the tailing asshat though - I did the speed limit for the whole route and MAN was he pissed. He got stuck at a light and I didn't. I didn't do ANYTHING, I just drove, and stuck at the speed limit or slower, which is, you know, THE LAW. I didn't even flip him off or anything, just grinned at him in the rear view. He knew I was doing it, and he knew there wasn't a DAMN thing he could do about it. Duck you Mr. Asshat. *evil grin*)
So now I'm taking a slight break, then putting some stuff in the crockpot to slow cook, putting away the laundry I did the other night, getting a whole bunch of stuff into a trash bag/recycling, and starting to organize and post some stuff to sell. I also need to hook up a few things for the laptop. I still haven't gotten the keyboard/monitor setup up and operating, I like my keyboard and I need a converter for it. Maybe I'll try and pop to Microcenter later on tonight.
I have an invite somewhere but I'm feeling decidedly un-social. I'm probably skipping going out tonight as well. We're probably going out next Wednesday night, at least Nick and I, and then I'm for certain going to Rhode Island next week to see Chris. I have some people to call and arrange visits to. Plus the ever present work, as I told CPA #2 I'd work, and I"m planning on that tomorrow, so to let M have the place/big TV for himself and have Jacqui over to visit. I do need to talk to her - my plans are changing and it affects her.
ANYWAY.
I need to be up and away from this thing to get stuff done. More later!
