I just almost sneezed my head off! As in it came out of nowhere, and had such force that my whole body shook! Sheesh!
Anyway, I chose route 3, which had me abandoning CPA #2 after a stressful little client that was ALL fucked up. It's weird what people do, and think they're right when it comes to bookkeeping. I have to fix it on Monday but that's OK.
So I beat feet to Microcenter, and got what I needed. I, erm, spent WAY too much money, IMHO, but it's because I keep buying SATA drives, and very little case wise will work with it. I had to grab a geek to help me with the definitions, because I KNEW I'd screw it up if not. It took for fucking ever, since every time I went near something, there was someone clueless in front of it being educated by a less clueless person about shit. Two BIG OLDER dorks would NOT get out of my way in front of the hard drive display. Fucking pissed me off. I kept tryng to look, and one guy was LEANING in my way while he told other guy about the drives. NOt looking, not picking up, just fucking in the way. Then there was a pseudo geek and his giggling gf, hovering around the external cases. GAH!
But after all that, and a quick chat with a worker, I have the right cases, another drive, and a card for the laptop, which is good since I was hesitant to use USB for transfer anyway And I acquitted myself well for a non geek, there was only a bit of terminology that I didn't understand, and once the sales guy explained it to me, I made the connections in my head. He looked a little impressed *grins* Yeah I'm a dork.
Anyway, now I have the stuff and came home via Thai food (which I'm still working on, numnum!) and hit the couch. This way, tomorrow morning I don't have to get up and get moving OUT the door, but I can putter around my room with this stuff. THEN I can hit my meeting and go to work. The only thing I don't have is the cooler pad, but it was overpriced. I'm hoping what I have will suffice for now.
I hate when I get all "MUST HAVE NOW" but I'm realizing that no matter what I do to schedule myself some me time, everything gets screwy. I had plans for Sunday that didn't involve the meeting OR work. I mean I have clothes that need putting away! I know some of this is lazy, but dammit if I don't get home exhausted and just wanting to stop.
Something has got to give, this can't happen again.
Anyway, I will be full of storage tomorrow, each drive is 250Gig. Plus the huge drive on the laptop. It's quite naughty!
