Randomness

I'm stupid busy these past few days. When I'm not at work, or at other work, I'd been helping M move in, or sitting staring at the TV. Tonight I reacquaint myself with my home computer, and write some LONG overdue emails and make a few phone calls. I have some crow to eat, and a few people I miss terribly, as well as someone who was unwell I need to check on.

A few items of randomness, requiring the attention of my Friends list:

- I'm looking for a Windows box (As opposed to a Mac. IE Baby, can you spare a computer?) Actually, I think I'm looking for two. I don't have any extra cash right now to buy even a cheapo system, and I'm sick and tired of M abusing my poor overworn box. So, if you've got one laying around, and don't know what to do with it, I'm happy to take it off your hands. I can throw you a few bucks, or remember, I do taxes. And I PROMISE not to be an asshat about it - my scheduling fu MUST become better before then.

So my minimum requirements for said boxen are:
- Nothing elderly, I'd in threory like at least a P3. I have a really really OLD one in my storage unit, that frankly is a paperweight.
- Win XP installed. I don't have any disks laying about, and my source went and moved to Cali, and doesn't update his LJ much anymore (*sniffles**Pokepokepoke* crypticreign!)
- room for another hard drive - I can get one at Microcenter cheap.
- room for a network card, I can also replace this but hey, if it comes with a card installed, I've got wired and wireless for modemy/downloady goodness.

I've got a monitor, and all the other happy accessory junk. Just need the box.
Or two - I have an idea for rehabbing the other. it's a side project, I don't want to advertise.

- Aside from computer stuff, things with M moving in and C moving out went well. I think. M has been doing things to his room, and cooking AND cleaning! I might not be able to let him move anywhere else! And he goes to bed early enough that I get some alone time I didn't think I would be. Now I need to turn my attention to cleaning out the house of unneeded junk, and getting to the storage unit. All of M's things are in his room (can I just tell you how happy the desk made him once it was setup?) and it's all MY junk that needs getting rid of. And baby, there's a lot of it. *sighs* I think another run to Ikea is in order, for boxes that will stack in my closet. And look, well, nice.

- I'm resentfully posting from work. I've been super swamped. And things here are not happy fun times. I'm just keeping my head down, and my hands busy. Not THAT busy. Preverts!

- Next couple of weekends look busy, but I need to see if anyone with a truck is available to help move some furniture from the Unit. Also I feel the need to get a few items for the balcony. I think we need that sitting area out there now, plus a place to work. I almost think October is going to be "get the kitchen done" month. You've been warned *grins*

The other thing I wanted

I'm considering getting NetFlix, or something like it, to assist my Anime obsession. I don't WANT to buy everything I want to watch, and some things just plain out suck. So, if I start watching and like InuYasha and YuYu Hakusho, I LIKE what i see, I can buy. Otherwise, like Escaflowne, I can just watch, digest and let go.

But I want something with a decent amount of rentable anime I would like.

So, tell me, if you watch Anime, what your service is and how much you like or dislike it. Also, if I can get a referral that will get you some stuff when I join, I'm happy to do that.

This is all after the Netflix moved out of the house. I never asked for even one thing *sighs* But I figure M might use it too. So I'm leaning towards something that isn't ALL anime. (Although I'd consider it. *grins* I am a selfish 'ho after all)

I think it will do wonders for my relaxation time to have a night set aside for Anime watching at least once a week. I mean, Project Runway ends in a few weeks, THEN what do I do?
