Did I ever think I would go to NYC with only ONE piece of luggage?
I'm actually thinking of adjusting things so I don't take my satchel. Or at least, that I don't need it too much. And to be honest, I don't. I just need to get my sling purse into the satchel, and I'll have two and two only bags, one of which is books and CDs, stuff to do on the bus, and probably some food. And it's doable to get everything but the handpurse into my carry on. I bought a corset purse at WalMart (BOOBIES!) and it has all my makeup, while the small clutch in the bigger bag has my toiletries, and the two brushes that don't fit right.
I'm bringing a couple of different casual outfits, so that depending on how he's dressed and what the weather is like, I have stuff to wear. I have three different club outfits, that can be dressed up or down as needed. One is for if we go OUT out Friday, and one I'm probably wearing on Saturday. The one extra for fat feelings and not feeling like getting ALL dressed up, as well as being pieces. I also have a sleep outfit, complete with toed socks. I am NOT bringing anything naughty, although my top from Wednesday was under consideration. I just wanted to make things lighter.I MIGHT end up revamping some again, as I am SERIOUSLY not wanting to wear my new boots on the bus. But I'm trying not to take too many shoes, and it's HARD! I mean one pair of never worn a lot boots, and a pair of sneakers. I'm not sure I can do it. Of course, this just gives me an excuse to buy MORE in NYC, and I just have to get there, CB is driving home. I want a pair of black Nikes, so I might use this opportunity to have him help me pick some out. I figure I wear the boots tomorrow, and to the clubs, and the sneakers on Saturday shopping and Sunday home. My issue is I can't wear a certain skirt with the silly sneakers. And I'm not sure I want to wear my boots all say Saturday. *shrugs* I guess I'll see how it goes. I DO want to wear the sneakers tomorrow, so I'm probably repacking in the morning, which is going to happen anyway, as I can't stash about 10% of the things I need due to need of them in the morning. So, I'll just dump everything and after my shower repack. I already have everything I need out, and I will just stuff more stuff than before into the boots. I CAN DO THIS! I can also remember to take bacitracin and bandaids for the inevitable blisters. *grins*
My problems now stem from eye and skin issues. My eyes are itchy again and I don't know why. I did dig into some boxes, to get my CD player, and I somehow blinked my left contact our and found a tear. This is BAD as I need new ones, but I found more older, sealed contacts than I thought I had, so I CAN wear a pair for the weekend, and NOT take my evil glasses, AND I have a couple of "spare" pairs. Then. I will just make an appointment with the evil doctor in Mashpee for Friday and take a lunch to go have an exam. He has my files, I want to switch but I don't have time. I should be able to afford it. Then all I have to do is order new ones, and I'm all set - those only cost $25, and I can come up with that.
I'm feeling good, I have more money thanks to my small client paying me. I don't have a LOT, but I have a buffer, and I feel better. Now I can afford to do some nice things for people, and maybe get myself a little something.
Oh, and I've decided against taking my laptop. I can't afford to lose it, and I'll just find a cafe if we need one. I'm taking my camera, my cell and both their plugs, that should be enough for him to be making fun of. *grins*
But for now, I'm off to wash my face, and stop the damn itching. I need to get to bed, I want to be up by 9, so I can shower, have some coffee, repack, run out to my car for some clips and my earrings, AND be ready to be outside waiting for the bus at 11AM sharp. Plus get some work done. Wheeeee!
So not much from me over the weekend. I remember the requests I've had for things, and I'm reachable by cell. I'm sure there will be a LONG ASS POST on Sunday.
I still can't believe how LITTLE I'm taking, clothes and makeup and jewelry wise.! Damn!
