Be Very afraid!
One week
Two cities (one "country" although to be honest, I consider it Two. Props to my Scottish Homies. Werd.)
3000 miles away from home.
I've packed ONE bag.
I was Brutal in the purging of clothes. I only took one or two items I'm not sure whether or not I'd wear. I brought some "Goth" stuff but nowhere near what I brought last time, or even the time before. I've packed my Torrid boots, and my new cute shoes. I'll be wearing my sneakers. I packed one corset. I tried to pack layering items. I packed one heavy wintry sweater (the grey one I wear in colder weather) I'll be taking my Cruxshadows hoodie on the plane. I went through the second bag I was planning, packed toiletries in my Virgin Atlantic drawstring bag, I've packed makeup in a smaller case, and while I still took too much eyeshadow, I didn't take everything I usually do, with my usual "But I don't know what I'm going to want to do!". I restrained myself to what I'd use if I went out, based on the purple outfit I brought.

And there's still room!

I have yet to pack any jewelry, or hair items. I like to have extra clips, and I try to take all my cute little clips. I won't need as much jewelry, tho. I have certain things I wear with the main outfit I brought, and I'll bring one or two other things in case I wear the long foufy thing I brought. I'm doing that in a second. I also need to throw in my bedwear, but I already have a PJs outfit, I just want the dress thing in case.

Seriously, I'm wigged. There won't be much room for gifts, but I'm bringing my travel size space saver bags, for dirty clothes and undies, so I might end up using those if I need the room (on top of the dirty thing.)

it doesn't even WEIGH as much as last time!

I need to get my carry on in order, I need to email people, and finish my list of contacts and places, for my luggage, for my carry on, and to email to my chosen contacts. I wonder if I have another small make up type bag to keep my non checked bag incidentals in? *thinks*

Anyway, completed most packing, need to get another bag type thing for my carryon, so things aren't rolling about. Grabbed one of my bigger Glad food thingies, and it fits all my hair clips and jewelry. I think this is the rule from now on. ONE of the big Glad things, and that is ALL. I'm debating taking an actual hairBrush, since I'm not taking a hairdryer or hair spray (but am taking my volumizing spray) and after chatting with poetman at Ungod o'clock this morning made me realize I might need one additional pair of shoes, in case we go out somewhere nice. Damn him. *grins* I'm frigging Packed already!

On the heels of my card reading yesterday I get this weekly horoscope. I like these guys. ( Behind the cut for the uninterested )

Right so I need to get moving. I didn't go to bed until WELL After 5, and sleep refused to come. I was tired tho, so I didn't pull the all nighter. Must put in contacts and dress, and make some phone calls Then run out to pick up a few things, finish some work, run to BJ's for the things I'll be too broke to when I get back. I never made a need list, so I managed to forget bandaids and bacitracin, so I'll be grabbing that. Then get some cash, and some books, and I'll be all set. I hope.

GAH! It's hot in here, must be off.........

Have I been a NAUGHTY GIRL out shopping!
I spent a LOT!
BUT (big but)
I truly believe all of it was necessary.

I started at Ocean State Job Lot, for more candles of the dollar variety, some chocolate, batteries and browsing for a second makeup type bag (didn't find one) Spent $7

Then to BJ's, for razor blades ( a nice ten pack of the Intuition razor I've been using - about a year's worth, I'm sorry I don't feel the need to shave every day, I'm single.) lots of contact lens solution and saline (about 4 months worth, because they have the mondo size bottles) conditioner (but no shampoo) pickles (YUM!) lots of my standard soap (I love Irish spring as an everyday soap, although once in a while I try something else) My crime here is the 8 books I bought, and the fact that I didn't "need" all this stuff for the trip. However I do "need" it when I get home, potentially broke. I believe I'm wise to buy this stuff before I left. The books saved me from going to the bookstore, which would have been an even GREATER spend, and got the books at the BJ's price, pretty much half the cover price. Bad romance novels. I wanted fluff. spent about *meep* $130.

Then to Walmart, for s few other items, for trip and after. Two more pairs of tights, some nice fluffy socks, bandaids for my potential blisters, some of the travel wipes packs. And a MOST OBNOXIOUS purse, which I believe will work for what I want to carry in my carryon. it's vinyl, and black and pink, and it's one of those initial purses. Bright pink obnoxious lower case j on it. *evil grin* Total cost about $40.

Went to BK for eats. had to change my order as I came up short in the cash department. He ends up giving me someone else's order, which I then decide to keep as I think I got the better deal. *grins*

Now I'm off for a quick run to Target, which I just should have gone to in the first place, for the power adaptor I need for my battery charger. I might look for some of the things I already have, and then return them tomorrow to Walmart, but it might just be a commando raid. They're open til 9. Goddess bless Target! Land of Milk and Honey!

I first have to calculate how much I spent, and see where I am. I have to pay a bill or two, so I can just blow my money, and I have to get some to set aside. Debb and Gang and I are going to the Chocolate Buffet the weekend I get back, and I figure I'll just set it aside now, so I have it when I get home and don't have to worry about watching out for it.

This new casual attitude, and just acceptance of my domain here is freaky. *shrugs* I have what I have, I can't do anything else now. I leave tomorrow.

poor D sounds stressed. I called to ask her if she wanted an adaptor, and she's packing and just not doing well. That will change once we're away and she just can't do any more. I hope *sighs*
