I don't even want to tell Laura that there are TWO Goth nights in Edinburgh I want to attend.
I had said "Geez I don't think there is anything Goth we'd be going to in London" and I'm right - our days in London don't permit any cool nightlife.

However, I forgot that Edinburgh does indeed have life. And their monthly Friday night is the Friday we'll be there and Saturdays are weekly. *EVIL GRIN*

This time, I'm not going overboard - I'm bringing my favorite outfits, mixable and matchable, and my everyday corset (Also more to size it, in case I find one. Maybe I'll be wearing a brand NEW corset! *grins*)

I really should start travelling alone. I think I'll consider the Saturday one Negotiable, but the Friday one guaranteed. I don't think she'll deny me - I'm trying to plan everything for her benefit. I'm not spending days alone with emarkienna (although this is mostly to convince him he needs to visit me) and I want to make sure we do what SHE wants.

heh - None of these girls are even HALF my size *grins* this should be fun.

OK I should go to bed, I need to get into the office, but I'm planning on serious rest. I can work as late as I want, noone will be around.

*Addendum* OK maybe the Friday is NOT going to be my thing. It's way more etherial in reality - as in I posted this and THEN looked at the setlists. Maybe I'll claim SATURDAY night and be willing to skip this one. Must rememebr to take lots of notes before leaving! After that I shower, I NEED one *meep* then off to the office.
The Unit and Nephew have not arrived yet. I'm sure there will be many "Why isn't the door open?!" conversations to be had. *sighs* However, if she gets here, I'm in the shower and the doors are open it will be "Why is the door open?" conversation.

I simply can't win. I do have a trump card, but I'm loathe to play it. For now I simply tell her she's insane, and ignore her. It's been working.

I'm going to watch TT and then shower. More riveting stuff form the office, I'm sure.

Now I'm sorry I have to work

Noone has appeared today.
I'm alone in the house, without warning.
They're sure to appear tho, so I have to get dressed and get out.
I have lots of work to do and want to be home by 9:30, for YuYu Hakusho. At LEAST 11, for the new ep of InuYasha. Although last week's ep fell somewhat flat. There was this HUGE buildup, then *whumph* *thud* But, it's InuYasha, so I'm home and watching.

Paging my traveling freaks - I need the following items for the trip next week-
- a power plug converter
- secure name tags for luggage

I do NOT want to spend tons of money. What I need to do is drag out the big suitcase, and make sure the tears I saw last time are NOT going to expand. I am bringing both the suitcase and the "overnight" bag I bought on my last trip. I don't plan on overpacking, and am only bringing one set of "gothy club" clothes and nothing poufy. I'm thinking of getting a smaller suitcase, but *shrugs* I don't want to spend any more money. D is going to make fun of me for the two suitcases, but the overnight bag is PERFECT for all my personal items, leaving room in the big suitcase for shoes. I want to pack my Torrid boots, wear my sneakers, and pack a nice pair of shoes for dinners and stuff. Taking the overnighter for toiletries and makeup is an Excellent idea, and spreads the weight out.

Bah, I need to get to work. I'm NOT working tomorrow, I'm going to relax. I might go to Bj's and I'm thinking a nice leisurely stroll around Ocean State Job Lot might be just the ticket - or to the now warehouse store in Dorchester I haven't gone to yet - but I'm afraid that one will be crowded with unwashed masses. Seriously, some stores just smell of pee and BO. It ain't pretty.

Weeee - hours of check entry and bank recs ahead! it's a good thing I LIKE this stuff. And have bottle of water in the car.

Since when does a locked door represent freedom?

Since it's the front door to the office building I was supposed to be in today.
You know, the one they changed the key to, that I don't have.
I have a key to the office, but assumed the front door would be open.
I was wrong.

So I get a free day. I was going to take one on Monday, my days just shifted a bit.

I'm installing the new hard drive and having issues. I recommend all geeks run for the hills. (Not major issues - I'm flaking on what happens to the drive after I install it and the computer sees it. I can't get it to assign a drive letter. Poopy)

Update of Argh

- Computer refuses to acknowledge more than 30 gig of my 160 gig drive. Yah yah I know I probably should have checked first. I was flush with power over the ease of CD drive install. I'm certain is has to do with my old computer and ancient BIOS. I am, however, at a loss as to how to make it better. *shrugs* It's not killing me, other than thinking how I'd like to have the cost of the HD in my pocket.

- I decide to walk away from my computer, and eat. I think I want Chicken Katsu, maybe an order of sushi from Fuji. But first I wanted ice cream. I'd purchased a huge tub of Vanilla Bean from BJ's, and hadn't made any kind of dent in it. The Unit said they'd been "eating some" but it was a bucket o'ice cream. I DO SAY WAS. It's gone. The bastards ATE ALL MY ICE CREAM. They must die now.

- All this anger is making me actually hungry. As I was hunting for the tub of ice cream, because obviously it must be hiding, I found the steaks I bought last week. OK, I'll still get the chicken, but later, I'll start with a piece or two of steak. I have a George Forman, I'll just throw em on. Well seems I didn't clean the thing last time. NP, get a sponge and the scraper - where's the scraper? And the fat catcher? Missing. These items have been NEXT TO THE SINK FOR MONTHS and are now, the instant I want to use it, missing. Cleaning the grill just became a HUGE problem. This is after I used soap on it and need the catcher to wash the soap out. I've done the best I could, but now I'm grumpy as hell and WILL taste soap on the food, no matter how clean I get the damn thing. So I put it aside.

Now I'm looking into ordering my chicken. I wanted to change, and haven't yet, and I haven't done anything with my day. I'm OK with this, I needed some down time, but I wanted it with ice cream and meat.

*grumble* The DAMN restaurant had better be open and I AM ordering sushi too!
