Weird

That was freaky.
My computer refused to boot up. Just stopped, didn't do anything.
I unplugged the new keyboard and the mouse, and it booted.
I plugged the keyboard and mouse back in, and everything is fine (with the exception of the slowness of the Internet this morning, what the hell's up with that?)
I'm hoping it repeats itself later, so I can properly diagnose what's up, I don't have time right now.
This is just an indication that this tax season I need a new computer. Something with the UberRAM, and a DVD burner, and a hard drive bigger than god's.

[livejournal.com profile] feline who were those guys again that built yours? I want that purple case, and I need to get an estimate to I can prepare for the price. Plus the case might not be big enough, and I think I want two fans, since my rooms gets DECIDEDLY warm all the time.

I know this is small and dumb, but I changed the wallpaper on both my computers. I don't usually do this, I like seeing the same soothing picture. but I saw a wallpaper I wanted, and something similar for my laptop. I have this thing for moon/starry sky stuff, but to reflect my current InuYasha obsession, I have a lovely dark starry sky, huge moon, and Mr. Sesshomaru. *sighs* I'm gratified I'm not crushing on InuYasha, eh has enough girl problems (And yes, I realize how silly it is to use the word "crushing" with an anime character.)

I'm already tired of baseball. To see it on the monitors of ManRay was - disturbing. It made ML happy, but [livejournal.com profile] pat_man_ta had a point - personal TVs. I AM rooting for the RedSox - so I can afford a hotel room in NYC since the Yankees won't be an issue anymore. not that I don't have places to go, I just hate putting anyone out (and I know I'm not, it's a mental state *grins*)

I'm thinking my tax season metaphor was going to be apropos. I am having the WORST trouble getting up at anything that resembles a reasonable time for the working world. This is in conjunction with my inability to go to bed at a reasonable time. I seem to be QUITE awake after 3AM. I USED to be able to go to bed at 12:30, although I admit it wasn't easy. it's the late nights at work, when I'm there til 9PM. It started innocently enough, that one night instead of leaving reasonably, I had something to do. It's snowballed. AND I'm not able to get to sleep OR get enough sleep over the weekend. So, last night I went to bed around 3:30, after the second showing of Inuyasha (thanks for THAT Cartoon Network! This was the key episode I missed in the last set of shows, and I don't have that DVD from [livejournal.com profile] kazama yet. It was heartbreaking, stupid InuYasha. Why the hell can't he see threat Kikyo ISN'T Kikyo anymore, even tho she LOOKS the same, and Kagome is the actual queen of his half-demon heart? *crickets* Ok, did I just geek there? *hangs head* sorry 'bout that.) and I didn't wake up til WELL after 10. Then effing with TWO computers, one laptop refusing to refresh the IP address, and one not booting up and I had issues.

*sighs* I'm going to call my minion, and tell her I'll be in a bit later than scheduled, and that I have some things to do this morning, which I do. I then need to poke the executive assistant, and have her find a check for me (which I might do via email) and then get in in time to finish off a letter to send, with check info, to please the boss.

Time to get moving to the shower, and call my minion. Gah my room is a mess. I can't believe I'm going to stay HOME tomorrow night, and clean. I just don't have any desire to go out tomorrow night. I want to see people, but not enough to struggle with an outfit (and it WILL be a struggle - all of my good garb is not here.)

Yikes - It's been a while and I didn't post this! I'm desperate to try and stay home today. And I know I can't. I AM going to do some stuff for me first tho. If I can get off the phone and away from the damn computer. *sighs*

goes to - ME.
I called in.
I couldn't stand the idea of going to work.
Just. Not. Couldn't do it.

I'll be good, I'll get up early tomorrow, I WON'T touch my computer, I'll go to work, early. I swear.
My mood immediately feels lighter.
I think I need to do this more often, especially in tax season.

What I'm going to do with my new day off -
- Hang up my clothes, especially from last night's fashion crisis.
- pull my car around front and put some more stuff in it to go to new storage unit
- Run to storage unit with stuff
- Pull out hardcover books for sale and catalogue them. Put some up on Half
- Catalogue the hardcovers in the living room, and put them away in my room (Yes, I do have room, I just have to dig out the space, like winter, only with junk insteads of snow)
- Shread a TON of papers, and get rid of them.
- have a cuppa tea

More to be added later as I see fit
I'm motivated to freshen my room, and THIS is why I don't want a "real" job, so I CAN do things like this. My ideal job has me working on clients on Tuesdays, giving one day a week to each of my CPA's and working some during the weekend, so I can have two days home to myself to clean and whatnot, and spend some time with my ever loving friends, whom I've been keeping on the back burner, and THAT needs to stop.

Oh and I FINALLY found the X-Men:Evo episode from last Saturday, and it's cheerfully arriving now. I can't wait to watch it again, it was neat and I missed a little bit.
